Autumn 2012, the “Greatest Depression” has spread worldwide. Billions are unemployed, homeless and desperate. Countries bankrupt, trade pacts broken, tariffs rise, borders close.

Protectionist, nationalist and anti-globalization movements have moved out of the margins and into the mainstream. Immigrants brought in during boom times – blamed for bringing down wages, stealing jobs and rising crime – are being rounded up and deported.

Despite differences between the 1930’s Great Depression and today’s “Greatest Depression,” unsettling similarities conjure up memories of pre-World War II. From the United Kingdom to Russia, war drums eerily beat.

China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore – all countries that ramped up production to meet insatiable business and consumer demands of the prior decade – fight for survival.

Japan, Taiwan and South Korea, long industrialized and export driven, blame China for their mounting trade imbalances, internal strife and Southeast Asian instability.

Mexico, once the US resort/retirement retreat, is as dangerous as the Congo, and its government – what’s left of it – is equally ruthless.

Across much of South America, depression, coups and wars prevail; few nations have been spared.

In Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan it’s the same news, different year, different body count: “Five US troops killed in Afghanistan.” “US drone attack kills 60 civilians in Pakistan.” “Car bomb blast kills 47 in Iraq.”

In the photo here, Obama is spotted with a book penned by Fareed Zakaria, The Post-American World. Zakaria’s book argues that a world order is emerging led by the authoritarian slave state China and India.

“Criticism of the book focused on certain assertions made by Zakaria, as well as the focus of the book mirroring back a ruling narrative to meet the needs of the global elite,” a Wikipedia write-up notes.

It makes sense Zakaria is talking to the elite. He is one of their trusted minions.

In addition to working as the editor of Newsweek International, Zakaria is a member of the Aspen Strategy Group, where he hangs out with insiders such as Brent Scowcroft, CFR president Richard Haass, and CFR member and former Clinton college roomate Strobe Talbott. Zakaria is a Bilderberg attendee, a senior staff member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and is a member of the Trilateral Commission. He was the editor of the CFR’s house organ, Foreign Affairs.

It makes sense Obama is reading Zakaria. He is one of the leading intellectuals of the New World Order.

Doomsday author says Obama is doing nothing to forestall disintegration

Russian Professor Igor Panarin says that events are continuing to confirm his doomsday prediction first made over 10 years ago, that the United States will completely collapse like the Soviet Union before the end of 2010, and warns that the chaos could begin to unfold in as little as two months.

Panarin, doctor of political sciences and professor of the Russian Diplomatic Academy Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told journalists during the unveiling of his new book yesterday that President Obama has done nothing to forestall the fast approaching crisis and that it could begin to properly unfold in November.

“Obama is “the president of hope”, but in a year there won’t be any hope,” said Panarin. “He’s practically another Gorbachev – he likes to talk but hasn’t really managed to do anything. Gorbachev at least had been a secretary of a regional communist party administration, whereas Obama was just a social worker. His mentality is totally different. He’s a nice person and talks nicely – but he’s not a leader and will take America to a crash. When Americans understand that – it will be like a bomb explosion.”

Since 1998, Panarin has been warning of a future disintegration of the United States and the collapse of the dollar. The recent election victory for Japan’s Democratic Party is another sign that the economic collapse of the U.S. is imminent, according to Panarin.

“Today I received another confirmation that the collapse of the dollar and the US is inevitable. Japan’s Democratic Party won the election, and I’d like to remind you that its leader [Yukio Hatoyama] has the snubbing of the dollar among his economic plans. In plainer words, he plans to transfer Japan’s monetary reserves from US dollars into another currency. The move will seriously accelerate the dollar’s exchange slump as early as this November. Disintegration will follow shortly,” he said, adding that next year China would also begin to massively dump the dollar and that Russia would begin to sell oil and gas for roubles.

Panarin previously stated that the dollar would eventually be replaced with “a common Amero currency as a new monetary unit”, referring to the Security and Prosperity Partnership agreement between the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

He foresees the U.S. breaking up into six different parts, roughly along lines similar to those of 1865 during the Civil War, “The Pacific coast, with its growing Chinese population; the South, with its Hispanics; Texas, where independence movements are on the rise; the Atlantic coast, with its distinct and separate mentality; five of the poorer central states with their large Native American populations; and the northern states, where the influence from Canada is strong,” according to Panarin.

Longer term, Panarin predicts that the breakaway states will eventually be taken over by the European Union, Canada, China, Mexico, Japan and Russia and America will cease to exist altogether, as depicted in the illustration above.

Panarin blames the collapse on a “political elite that implements an absurd and aggressive policy that aims to create conflicts around the planet” and warns that increasing firearms sales in the U.S. are a sign that people are preparing for “chaos” in the aftermath of a total financial meltdown.

“In my opinion, the probability of the US ceasing to exist by June, 2010 exceeds 50%. At this point, the mission of all major international powers is to prevent chaos in the US,” Panarin concluded.

The 6 Republics

Panarin, who predicted as early as 1998 that the United States would eventually collapse, said its disintegration would begin this autumn (2009) and last for nine months before six separate “republics” emerge to supplant it.

The new territories would include the “California Republic” (composed of the states of California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and Idaho), which would be absorbed or fall under the influence of China, and the “Texas Republic” (Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida) that would become part of or fall under Mexico’s influence.

Canada would get or influence the “Central North American Republic” (the Midwest plus Montana, Wyoming and Colorado), “Atlantic America” (the northeastern American seaboard plus Kentucky, Tennessee, and North and South Carolina) would end up with the European Union or the United Kingdom.

And Alaska would revert back to Russia, and Japan and China would take over Hawaii.

Pyramid of debt

According to Panarin’s theory America’s collapse was being brought about by economic and political factors, particularly the fall of the US dollar and its burgeoning foreign debt. He said, “They have created in the United States a pyramid [of foreign debt] based on the dollar, and they see no other way to solve this crisis… In the 1980s, the US almost had no foreign debt, but in 1998, this reached $2 trillion. Now, they have [a debt of] $12 trillion and so it grew six times in just a decade… This reminds me of the situation in my country before the USSR fell because our foreign debt increased five times.”

US will not recover from the current economic crisis and the US greenback would go on a free fall this autumn and would be replaced by regional currencies for world trade to go on, thus triggering the unravelling of America.

Other signs of collapse

The other signs pointing to the collapse would be:

Number of US banks declaring bankruptcy – which had risen from just three in 2007 to 25 in 2008; More than 300 bank failures in America
America’s shrinking gross domestic product, burgeoning budget deficit of more than $1 trillion, and the biggest unemployment figures “in the last 60 years.” US Recession: True unemployment rate already at 20%
