Video: Collecting Rainwater Now Illegal in Many States

truther 29

Many of the freedoms we enjoy here in the U.S. are quickly eroding as the nation transforms from the land of the free into the land of the enslaved, but what I’m about to share with you takes the assault on our freedoms to a whole new level. You may not be aware of this, but many Western states, including Utah, Washington and Colorado, have long outlawed individuals from collecting rainwater on their own properties because, according to officials, that rain belongs to someone else.

Check out this  news report out of Salt Lake City, Utah, about the issue. It’s illegal in Utah to divert rainwater without a valid water right, and Mark Miller of Mark Miller Toyota, found this out the hard way.

After constructing a large rainwater collection  system at his new dealership to use for washing new cars, Miller found out that the project was actually an “unlawful diversion of rainwater.” Even though it makes logical conservation sense to collect rainwater for this type of use since rain is scarce in Utah, it’s still considered a violation of water rights which apparently belong exclusively to Utah’s various government  bodies.

“Utah’s the second driest state in the nation. Our laws probably ought to catch up with that,” explained Miller in response to the state’s ridiculous rainwater collection ban.

Salt Lake City officials worked out a compromise with Miller and are now permitting him to use “their” rainwater, but the fact that individuals like Miller don’t actually own the rainwater that falls on their property is a true indicator of what little freedom we actually have here in the U.S. (Access to the rainwater that falls on your own property seems to be a basic right, wouldn’t you agree?)

Outlawing rainwater collection in other states

Utah isn’t the only state with rainwater collection bans, either. Colorado and Washington  also have rainwater collection restrictions that limit the free use of rainwater, but these restrictions vary among different areas of the states and legislators have passed some laws to help ease the restrictions.

In Colorado, two new laws were recently passed that exempt certain small-scale rainwater collection systems, like the kind people might install on their homes, from collection restrictions.

Prior to the passage of these laws, Douglas County, Colorado, conducted a study  a study on how rainwater collection affects aquifer and groundwater supplies. The study revealed that letting people collect rainwater on their properties actually reduces demand from water facilities and improves conservation.

Personally, I don’t think a study was even necessary to come to this obvious conclusion. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that using rainwater instead of tap water is a smart and useful way to conserve this valuable resource, especially in areas like the West where drought  is a major concern.

Additionally, the study revealed that only about three percent of Douglas County’s precipitation ended up in the streams and rivers that are supposedly being robbed from by rainwater collectors. The other 97 percent either evaporated or seeped into the ground to be used by plants.

This hints at why bureaucrats can’t really use the argument that collecting rainwater prevents that water from getting to where it was intended to go. So little of it actually makes it to the final destination that virtually every household could collect many rain barrels worth of rainwater and it would have practically no effect on the amount that ends up in streams and rivers.

It’s all about control, really

As long as people remain unaware and uninformed about important issues, the government will continue to chip away at the freedoms we enjoy. The only reason these water restrictions are finally starting to change for the better is because people started to notice and they worked to do something to reverse the law.

Even though these laws restricting water collection have been on the books for more than 100 years in some cases, they’re slowly being reversed thanks to efforts by citizens who have decided that enough is enough.

Because if we can’t even freely collect the rain that falls all around us, then what, exactly, can we freely do? The rainwater issue highlights a serious overall problem in America  today: diminishing freedom and increased government control.

Today, we’ve basically been reprogrammed to think that we need permission from the government to exercise our inalienable rights, when in fact the government is supposed to derive its powerfromus. The American Republic was designed so that government would serve the People to protect and uphold freedom and liberty. But increasingly, our own government is restricting people from their rights to engage in commonsense, fundamental actions such as collecting rainwater or buying raw milk from the farmer next door.

Today, we are living under a government that has slowly siphoned off our freedoms, only to occasionally grant us back a few limited ones under the pretense that they’re doing us a benevolent favor.

Fight back against enslavement

As long as people believe their rights stem from the government (and not the other way around), they will always be enslaved. And whatever rights and freedoms we think we still have will be quickly eroded by a system of bureaucratic power that seeks only to expand its control.

Because the same argument that’s now being used to restrict rainwater collection could, of course, be used to declare that you have no right to the air you breathe, either. After all, governments could declare that air to be somebody else’s air, and then they could charge you an “air tax” or an “air royalty” and demand you pay money for every breath that keeps you alive.

Think it couldn’t happen? Just give it time. The government already claims it owns your land and house, effectively. If you really think you own your home,  just stop paying property taxes and see how long you still “own” it. Your county or city will seize it and then sell it to pay off your “tax debt.” That proves who really owns it in the first place… and it’s not you!

How about the question of who owns your body?  According to the U.S. Patent & Trademark office, U.S. corporations and universities already own 20% of your genetic code. Your own body, they claim, is partially the property of someone else.

So if they own your land, your water and your body, how long before they claim to own your air, your mind and even your soul?

Unless we stand up against this tyranny, it will creep upon us, day after day, until we find ourselves totally enslaved by a world of corporate-government collusion where everything of value is owned by powerful corporations — all enforced at gunpoint by local law enforcement.

Total whack jobs. The worst thing the government ever did was to create the internet, giving you loonies a voice.

I expect you know that water diversion laws are actually quite OLD, not new, and are being relaxed over time, not tightened, making you a tool.

These are the scam artists putting this false and misleading information out to the public.. Granted there is a REASON why rainwater is illegal in some states as it has to do with safety concerns such as West Nile disease ETC.. HOWEVER again the scam artists with a specific agenda are using this opportunity to take money from you.. and to turn you against the very people that will help you and that is the Government.. Understand the agenda of a criminal.. and you will understand who the enemy really is

This article, right alongside others is absurd. Collecting rainwater isn’t illegal. There are states that just passed legislation to encourage it. Colorado had it illegal until 2009. There is actually a boom going on right now. And for decades, many rural areas depend upon it. To make it illegal would create an uproar. You media morons need to stop creating false pictures of our world. Try giving us information we need and want. We don’t want YOUR information because it stinks of lies.

Where are you from JoeM? Because it is illegal in certain states. You cannot make it “not illegal” because you say so.
If you can then please explain w=how a fellow obtains permission to dig ponds on his own land is then fined and ordered to fill them in three years later?
Why is it required to have “water rights” in Utah. What the hell are water rights? Who really owns any resource? What resources have been usurped from the citizens and claimed by the Elite just because they pump them out?
Why are the people of Venezuela paying 14 cents for a tank of gasoline supplied for by the USA and we are paying $3.50+ a gallon? YES THAT IS RIGHT fourteen cents a tank full.!!!!!!!

Come on Joe throw me a bone here and provide your proof. You can find mine readily in a simple search.

The answer to the problem is over population which most people and governments are unwilling to discuss. Any rancher or farmer in my part of the world wil tell you that if you put to much livestock on the pasture it will be destroyed. Hence, if you put enough people on the planet it will be destroyed. It takes water to support life, if you put enough life on the planet the useable water will be depleted and life will cease to exist. Pretty simple when you think about it.

As for government, the amount of government has increased with the number of people. Government wants power and to have power you must have someone to exercise that power over. So in places where large numbers of people exist there is large useless government as in most major cities. In remote areas such as some of us are privy to in the West there is little government. I can go into the Gila Wilderness Area near my home and see little or no government for weeks or more. It is a primitive area and no motor powered vehicles are allowed. Hence you have little or no government as government does not function well without modern conveniences. The individual has to function on his own and therefore you do not see many people either. We are what we have made ourselves.

In reality this is nothing as compared to the wealthy buying up land over aquifers just to pump them dry and sell the water for more than gasoline to stupid Americans willing to pay that much for BPA filled lithium laden tap water. NESTLE is a major perpetrator.
We are being told that there will be a water shortage, and there will because it is a contrived event to steal the most common element needed for your survival and sell it to you at price gouging rates.

90 million gallons a year are pumped out of the Great lakes by Nestle and then bottled to be shipped overseas. Nestle pays nothing for these resources and profits immensely. Water levels are dropping in the lakes and we will pay dearly in the long run.
“Water Barons” are back and PGRE will reshape the face of America because we did not pay attention and stop this crime when we could.

This bottled water nonsense started in the 80s and people fell for it. Infrastructure was deliberately allowed to crumble over the years and more pollution has been allowed. Every one allowed it, are now used to it and can’t be convinced it is a rip off. It is no different than nutrasweet. Some company invented this poison and had to convince people sugar was bad in order to sell it. Now you can’t convince the believers this kind of garbage is worse than any of the “effects” sugar has. Even some doctors are realizing just how bad the sweeteners are and are saying to stop using them.

IN the state of colorado, the water board goes around to the farmers and tries to stop them from using their wells for house water and tells them if they are caught they will be fined,I told my bro, next time they show up at his place “just throw the bitch down the well and then fill it in”…………………………

I notice that most of the states mentioned tend to be conservative republican states. So much for the claim of being the guardians of freedom and government intrusion. They are happy to do it when THEY are the ones in control. Then it is ok.

The reason why diverting rainwater is illegal in some states is nothing to do with eroding freedoms. It prevents ruthless individuals from holding others to ransom. The origin of the mafia in Scicly was actually the control of water to lemon plantations which came to be controlled by criminal families.

Collecting rainwater leads to extortion and the mafia? Just how many millions of gallons are you collection? You must work for the oppressive government in your state and do not belong here.

This is grossly oversimplified and just wrong. Collecting rainwater is mandatory in some states (AZ). Others have very old laws that were aimed at diverting rivers (and thus protecting downstream users) that are being reapplied. But states like CO are legislating corrections to those laws to make it clear that collecting rainwater is legal. In any case it is not an expansion of government but the (mis-)use of antequated laws with other targets. Do your freaking homework next time please. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/29/us/29rain.html?_r=0)

understand that the same ppl who initiated poisons in our water, the same reasons tap water shouldnt be drank, flouride, etc…are the same ppl who is going to make sure your natural ANYthing is cut off as much as possible. the more you have to injest their poisons, the quicker it does what they want it to do in the first place. doing your homework extends beyond whats in print…you sometimes have to include your common sense o_o.

Well a true accounting of history might be in order. First learn the original languages yours was written in. I have. Then understand the root of all evil comes from the original deceptive teachings.
The simple fact is the Zionist Elite, those that own the corporations and the media have used their influence to control the world, often quite criminally. Lashon Hara. Then add in the Talmud and it’s teachings:

How the Zionists see all others through the filter of their religion:

        · Only Jews are human. Gentiles (all of us) are animals. (Baba Mezia 114a- 114b.)
        · For murder, whether of a Gentile by a Gentile, or of an Israelite by a Gential, punishment is incurred; but of a Gentile by an Israelite, there is no death penalty. (Sanhedrin 57a)
        · Even the best of the Gentiles should be killed. (Bab. Talmud)
        · Agriculture is the lowest of occupations. (Yebamoth 63a.)
        · If a Jew is tempted to do evil he should go to a city where he is not known and do the evil there. (Moed Kattan 17a.)
        · Gentiles’ flesh is as the flesh of asses and whose issue is like the issue of horses.
        · Gentile girls are in states of filth from birth. (Zarah 36b.)
        · If a heathen Gentile hits a Jew, the Gentile must be killed. Hitting a Jew is hitting God. (Sanhedrin 58b.)
        · If an ox of an Israelite gores an ox of a Canaanite there is no liability; but if an ox of a Canaanite [Gentile] gores an ox of an Israelite…the payment is to be in full. (Baba Kamma 37b.)
        · If a Jew finds an object lost by a Gentile it does not have to be returned. (Baba Mezia 24a; also in Baba Kamma 113b.)
        · What a Jew obtains by theft from a Cuthean [Gentile] he may keep. (Sanhedrin 57a.)
        · Gentiles are outside the protection of the law and God has exposed their money to Israel.’ (Baba Kamma 37b.)
        · Adam had sexual intercourse with all the animals in the Garden of Eden. (Yebamoth 63a.)
        · Jews may use lies (‘subterfuges’) to circumvent a Gentile. (Baba Kamma 113a.)
        · “When a grown-up man has intercourse with a little girl it is nothing.” (Kethuboth 11b.)
        · Jews must destroy books of Christians (Shabbath 116a)
        · No rabbi can ever go to hell. (Hagigah 27a.)
        · A Jew may have sex with a child as long as the child is less than nine years old. (Sanhedrin 54b)
        · A Jew may marry a three year old girl (specifically, three years “and a day” old). (Sanhedrin 55b.)
        · Those who read the New Testament (“uncanonical books”) will have no portion in the world to come. (Sanhedrin 90a)
        · All Gentile children are animals. (Yebamoth 98a.)
        · Gentiles prefer sex with cows. (Abodah Zarah 22a-22b.)
        · Balaam [Jesus] is raised from the dead and being punished in boiling hot semen. Those who mock the words of Jewish sages and sin against Israel are boiled in hot excrement. (57a Gittin)
        · A heathen Gentile who pries into the Torah [and other Jewish Scriptures] is condemned to death, for it is written, it is our inheritance, not theirs. (Sanhedrin 59a)

        There is more . . .
However in the original translations of the Torah m\Moses asks YHWH “Why should I choose you over the other gods?” So there are many gods. Consider Isis + RA + El = Israel, three gods in one name. Indicates either a level of confusion or deception.

Can some of this be blamed on Christians? Most definitely, Can some be blamed or Muslims? Again most definitely. The concept of Jihad originated long ago when it was claimed that all Gentiles must die. Which became all Infidels must die and all non Christians must die.

How many have died in “holy war”? No religion is innocent. All are polluted by deception and in every case benefits the religious elite. When religion started failing long ago then royalty was decreed. “God said . . . .” However God, an in person being until 300 ad never actually said anything of the sort.

Moses chose YHWH. There are NO CHOSEN PEOPLE. All are deception.
Do not expect it to be an easy task to learn the old languages. Do not take what others say for granted. Do the research yourself. If it is important enough to you, you will find the time.

In a recent excavation at the Vatican City something was unearthed that will change history. Something so significant that even the Vatican is having difficulty reconciling their past. SO they are now slowly changing their story. It is no coincidence that the Vatican came out nearly three years ago and said “Aliens are real”. then a year later said “Aliens are real and not all are bad.”

Expect sometime in the near future to hear,”It is blasphemy to deny the existence of aliens because that limits the Creator and who are you to limit the creator of all things.”

What do you suppose they dug up? Perhaps an ancient burial ground filled with long skulled skeletons having an extra vertebra in their necks? Something that supports the many long skulled skeletons found in many places across the planet assumed to have come from cradle boarding?

What should we expect after that “revelation” of an alien influenced past? Perhaps a “new alien threat” for which we must become vigilant and pay taxes to finance even more needless weaponry which can also be turned onto our own people for population control.

The world Elite have always manipulated the facts for their benefit. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Obama is a perfect example.

“Belief” only has value if it is backed by fact. Otherwise it is conjecture. If you wish to assume that the Jewish people are free of sin and choose to blame it elsewhere, just look at the facts. The Zionist Elite financed both sides of the wars. There is a simple formula for wealth from war.
Create a false war through propaganda, use the media to push what you choose. Commit a few false flags to support your plan. then push an all out war between two or more groups. Destroy well loved religious edifices and beautiful cities to create more animosity. Then determine which side brings the most profit.
Use propaganda to create fear in the winning side by telling them they are losing. In their fear they sell their properties for nothing and try to escape. Round them up and slaughter them. Steal whatever they have left. Turn the tides and let the “other side” win. The other side then feels a sense of triumph and their manufacturing sector grows, wealth for everyone! The losing side no longer owns it’s lands it is broken. Reconstruction! The losers provide cheap labor. Ship the manufacturing over to the losing side because of cheap labor. Slowly undermine the economy of the winning side. By creating a welfare state paid for by the people. Soon the “winners” without realizing it become weaker and weaker in the name of “wealth redistribution”. Unemployment rises because all the jobs were shipped to the losing country. Inject false money into the winning side economy and give the people a lie called hope. Undermine the economy through “bailouts” and watch what was the “most powerful” nation on the planet slide into depravity. Use the media to promote anti social behavior. Use “entertainment” to glorify crime, sex, and the destruction of the family.

Then create then next false war and start the process all over again . . . . Simple really, patience is all that is necessary. The best part is you do not really need wealth because the banking system you own can just say the wealth exists and manipulate the numbers to create even more.

Welcome to World Economy 101 . . . Learn your own history before blaming others.

Original Hebrew was written without vowels. The vowels make all the difference. YHWH

The reason collecting rain water is illegal is because you do not have to pay for it. I been collecting rain water for some time now. And I must say, after you boil it for 5 minutes then you put it in ice it is the most refreshing and best tasting water you will have. Best part it, no fluoride!

Have you researched “solar ovens”? With then you do not need electricity and there are no solar cells either. They just use the sun to boil the water. Simple to build and work even in the winter as long as there is sun.

Democratic Governor & Presidential hopeful Martin O’Malley in concert with his Democratically controlled legislature has taken the exact opposite approach with a ” rain tax.” Maryland will calculate the amout of the ” rain tax ” property owners will have to pay based on the size & type of the property. The ” rain tax ” is also assessed on churches, schools and non-prophit orgainzations. Maryland has also misspent the highway trust fund on ” other things ”
( benefits & services to illegal aliens ) so the legislature increased the State gas tax by up to
$0.20 per gallon. The amount of the gas tax will depend on whether the Congress approves the tax on internet purchases. This is the process when liberals start running out of other people’s money to spend.
