Would the cartoons really be that interesting to watch if both sides were good? If everything they did was by the book? Most if not all cartoons follow the same formula as far as episodes and their titles. They tend to cover the same topics, parody's, themes etc..
For example, in one TMNT episode the turtles have to destroy a weapon that not only can effect the weather, be used as a weapon and lastly open space portals.
