Tens years have gone by and New Yorkers remember it like it was yesterday. I am on overload from the past 3 days of reliving those events just as I had witnessed them from my office window and most of the world saw thru camera lens.
On Sunday, 9/11/11 I went to the vicinity of Ground Zero to eyewitness one rally and participate in another. These were opposing rallies: ‘Unity & Solidarity’ organized by the National Workers World Party at 1:00PM and then the 3:00PM ‘9/11 Freedom’ rally organized by Stop Islamization of America (SIOA). The pictures of the posters and signage tell the story of where we are as a nation regarding our views of Islamic terrorism after 10 years. Here are photos from both rallies:
