City officials in Paragould, Arkansas, a town of 26,000, are recommending a plan that would enact martial law beginning in 2013.
The plan, purportedly a response to recent property and violent crimes, would send police into the streets with AR-15 rifles and authorize them to stop anyone in the street and demand to know what they are doing.
Mayor Mike Gaskill and Police Chief Todd Stovall announced in a town hall meeting last week that the program would begin in the new year:
“[Police are] going to be in SWAT gear and have AR-15s around their neck,” Stovall said. “If you’re out walking, we’re going to stop you, ask why you’re out walking, check for your ID.”
… “We’re going to do it to everybody. … They may not be doing anything but walking their dog but they’re going to have to prove it.”
The mayor told local reporters that the city’s crime statistics were high eno9ugh to justify the plan, which was cooked up without consulting the city’s attorney.
According to a release from the police department, this is how the plan will work:
Once an area has been identified as a high crime neighborhood, the select group of officers will saturate the area in an attempt to curb the criminal behavior that is plaguing that particular neighborhood. Officers will accomplish this in a variety of different methods. Officers will be working to identify residents in the affected area so that we can better serve our affected neighborhoods. Most often, this identification process will be nothing more than making contact with a subject, handing them a business card, and asking if they live in the area and if there’s anything we can do for them. During hours in which crime seems to be more prevalent (i.e. between the hours of 11pm and 5 am), our process will become more stringent. We will be asking for picture identification. We will be ascertaining where the subject lives and what they are doing in the area. We will be keeping a record of those we contact.
The department says it is not out to violate anybody’s rights, just trying to prevent crime.

Yup, just like they wrote up in the protocols. They are following the blue print to the tee….. same in the Russian Revolution, and in Nazi Germany with creating the chaos so we would respond and ask them to be the solution to the problem they created. I told everyone they would take us down one state at a time, so it s important to come to the aid of the citizens of that town, if they want and need it. If they want ss troopers on their streets, then let them have it.

Freedom and liberty violations always start out small and grow in strength as time passes just like a cancer cell. If situations like this are not immediately remedied we are in serious trouble and FEMA Camps will no longer be a fictitious label anymore.
As this town in Arkansas will find out, they can not supercede the Constitution of the United States and when they start violating peoples rights, they themselves will be arrested. If the town has high crime areas, directed enforcement within accepted practices is a partial answer. More important is the Police working with the citizens to identify and fix problem areas. The Cops can’t do the job by themself and the strong arm approach will only make people angry. That Police Chief needs to go back to school and learn Community Policing 101.

Regarding ARKANSAS town: Grand Rapids,Michigan in the United States and the surrounding Greater Grand Rapids Metropolitan Area which includes several smaller cities or municipalities have a similar situation unfolding as police type units in “Plain Clothes” and using Radio Frequency Wiretapping/Evesdropping portable radio units/radios are following people and monitoring practically every single movement whether its a trip to a friends home or a store or market somewhere.The Grand Rapids City Police Dept.have had these armored police transport vehicles or a type of Humvee but so far nothing like an M-1 A-1 tank.Sometimes to intimidate are even using loud inciteful language by yelling or shouting personal and private comments. Gestapo tactics…it sure looks like it from where “I’m” at. Whatever became of the United States Constitution ? Why is this happening, I ask ?

There is no mention of the crime stats in this town of 26,000. But do they really need to be dressed up like the GESTAPO!?? I live 30 miles outside of Chicago and for a time many of the suburbs had some gang activity and the police were very professional and were acting humane. Many police departments had a unit that took up residence in an apartment (lower level) and parked their squad cars right there for all to see.BUT they were also there as “officer friendly” to help the youth that were going down the wrong road. That was 25 years ago and this method is still working!! Our police officers are very professional and
do their jobs,they are not a bunch jackbooted thugs!!
If there is civil unrest on a larger scale it is usually due to GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION and the officials are feeling threatened!! This is when they send out the gestapo, to protect themselves!
