The AP recently conducted an interview with Barbara Streisand about her upcoming album that nobody cares about. Because she is such a left-wing lunatic, talk of duets quickly turned to politics in which the robustly beaked singer fawned over President Obama, even comparing him to a god.
When asked whether women are underrepresented in the film industry, Streisand ignored the question and gave this rant instead:
Streisand: I think women are still treated as second-class citizens. We still don’t get equal pay. Thank God I am in the music industry, so it’s a bit different, but I’m fortunate in that way. The average woman doesn’t get the same pay; she gets 77 cents on the dollar that a man gets. I’m so involved in women’s heart disease and trying to raise awareness and funds; Even in medical research, women are not treated equally. The research on women’s hearts is done in the last 50 years on men. …So since women are 51 percent of the population I think we should really have that represented in Congress as well.
Besides the completely debunked information about inequality in women’s pay, the rest of that answer is utterly incoherent. The research on women’s hearts is done in the last 50 years on men? What the hell does that even mean?
Streisand wasn’t done ignoring questions with gibberish answers:
AP: Speaking of politics, have you spoken to Hillary Clinton whether she’ll run for president?
Streisand: I would love her to run. I think we have advanced with Obama, and I think people are giving him a hard time, which is not fair because this Affordable Care Act is working and it’s going to help a lot of people. But it’s like Greek tragedy, you know, they always try to bring down the gods, bring down the kings, bring down the leaders.
Wow, Obama is like a god? And criticism of him is not only unfair, but actually an attempt to bring down a deity. We’ve heard that opposing Obama is racist, but now Streisand informs us that it is deicide as well.
She says that giving Obama a hard time isn’t fair because she thinks the ACA is a roaring success. Of course it’s not, but what about all of the other things Obama does poorly? Isn’t it fair to question his handling of the economy, foreign policy, domestic policy, and the avalanche of scandals that have plagued his administration?
It’s interesting that a question about Hillary Clinton running for president turns into this gushing review of the Obama Presidency. Streisand is an Obama fangirl and that’s what they do; gush and troll the haters.
To prove she is hopelessly devoted to Obama, the formerly anti-war Streisand stands with the President on his scattered military strategy for dealing with ISIS.
AP: Do you feel like he’s doing a good job?
Streisand: I do. And it’s right to take your time going to war and so forth. He has to be thoughtful.
To recap: Women are second class citizens because of something to do with heart research, Obama is a god, and war is good when a democrat wages it, even if he won’t call it war and doesn’t have a strategy.
The only question that remains is: if Obama is a god, which god is he? My vote is for the God of Blunder, ruler of incompetence and master of the Realm of Missteps.
