Very nice update, you have a very good understanding of woodwork, mine woodworking skills are useless. To control my servos on things such as level crossing I will be using ESU SwitchPilot Servo Accessory Decoder, have a look at this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6IkbPxUMDo
Not sure if they wok with your controller.
Hi Stephen……. I can tell you that the reason the servo motors require additional circuit boards is because they need 7.5 volt dc power only, where as all the other equipment will run on 12 volt dc (snapper motors run much better if you install a capacitor discharge unit (CDU) . Don't know of any other method to operate servos, if you find one please let me know.
Great video, mind you don't fall back through your loft hatch opening !! I made an inside door as had too many near misses !

4" aint a vey big gap between your levels incase you need to do work between your boards or to address derailments, my gap is going to be twice that andy
