What’s with the term “annexation” of Austria? Yes, Hitler did confiscate the weapons of countries he invaded or “annexed” as Ms. Werthmann calls it. He also forced the Austrian men to serve in the German Army as did the Kaiser in WWI.Next she will tell us how the Russians “annexed” Poland and East Germany and took all the guns in the 50’s. Her term “capital punishment” is a stretch. If an enemy citizen refused to surrender his weapon, he was shot. There was no legal process and trial by judge or jury. The correct term is casualty of war.
