Hi Gemma, I love your videos and I'm sure you get this all the time but you know that urban decay is owned by loreal? I've gone cruelty free recently and it's shocking that parent companies profit from buying cruelty free companies (ahem – selling out). I'd be really interested to hear your stance on this because i love urban decay/tarte etc and I'm sitting on the fence about essentially supporting them by proxy. Love your shirt also :)

I've read your blog post on cruelty free beauty and parent companies and I thought it was really great. I was watching another you tubers video the other day where she was saying that you can buy cruelty free brands from sephora, but if sephora isn't cruelty free, would you ban them? It really does have to do with personal preference and how far you want to take something. I'm totally on the same page with you, especially because it does make things easier and more accessible to people even if the parent company is not however cruelty free. I am neither vegan nor vegetarian. I eat meat about twice a week. Most days are vegetarian. I like options, and I know it must frustrate my family, but I feel much healthier eating a plant based diet and may soon take the next step to cutting out more animal products. I know that a lot of my beauty products are not cruelty free, and I'm in the process of project panning some of my makeup. But once I run out of things I plan on a cleaner beauty stash. It's just nicer all around. I enjoy the you tube community and how much more normalized going cruelty free has become. It's awesome. :)

Great video! Your skin really does look glowing! I was mixing that tarte foundation with the Pixie Day glow ( i think thats what it is called – just their daily moisturiser with reflective particles) and i was also really happy with the results 🙂 I think I will try mixing it with what you've used next time :)

The BEST overnight lip treatment is the Blistex relief cream 🙂 it's cheap, sold in Superdrug and free from mineral oil. (make sure you get the relief cream though, the other Blistex ones aren't as good or mineral oil free) x

So much new things to buy!

What hair colourant are you using atm Gemma? Your hair looks so healthy and shiny and isn't showing any of the old red. It would be good to know, I'm considering going back brunette xx

Hi Gemma, I'm very interested in the vegan lifestyle, and I wondered if the cruelty free way extends to prescription medicine, are you able to tell your doctor to give medication that hasn't been tested on animals, or do you just have to be practical when you're sick? X

I freakin' love Hurraw balms. I'm not vegan, but prefer vegan lip balms because I don't like the feel of beeswax. I haven't tried the moon balm yet, but it's next on my list.

Again, I am loving your cruelty free focus! There's so many great brands out there and in my opinion any move to CF is a move in a good direction!
