Attack Japan directly in the back now with your regular troops.
You can push immediatly deep into lots of land, cut them of from their support, heavily cripple them and beat Japan before they can even enter the axis. You would have to recruit more men into the eastren army of course, but I think it would work
Drew, if you want China to win and have a good commie ally, lend your volunteers to the People's Republic of China.
Let them take Manchuria, if your troops are competent and Japan focuses on China the PRC can capitalise on it as you can still expel the Japanese and ensure that the PRC win the civil war.

instead of attacking all along the border w scattered troops, get all you're tanks to go across one spot then follow with soldiers, once all you're troops are over the rive you, take them all out… basic blitzkrieg tactics
