An amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2014 that will ban drone strikes against American citizens passed in the House on Friday.
However, the amendment does contain an exception for Americans “actively engaged in combat against the United States”.
Below is the full amendment:
SEC. 12l. PROHIBITION ON USE OF DRONES TO KILL UNITED STATES CITIZENS.
(a) PROHIBITION.—The Department of Defense may not use a drone to kill a citizen of the United States.
(b) EXCEPTION.—The prohibition under subsection shall not apply to an individual who is actively engaged in combat against the United States.
(c) DEFINITION.—In this section, the term ‘‘drone’’ means an unmanned aircraft (as defined in section 331 of the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012 (49 U.S.C. 40101 note)).
The 2014 NDAA now heads to the Senate.
They defined “drone”, but what is their definition of “combat”?
That means nothing with the (b) EXCEPTION.—The prohibition under subsection shall not apply to an individual who is actively engaged in combat against the United States.
1st You still get them to bomb them and will simply say “they were armed” or “they were conspiring against them” what ever the case we all know the U.S. Military, C.I.A. F.B.I will find some lame excuse to still keep the same thing going on but just put another claws in to make it look good because they think us the public are horrified over the matter.
We are but we are not stupid either.
2nd While you treat the good men and woman in the US Military like slaves Who go over on good intentions to fight for their country, who then goes nuts, spins out, cracks it, pics up a rifle and proceeds to shoot his fellow officers, are they then going to send in a drone in to bomb him because he is a United State Citizen who is actively engaged in combat against the United States.
3rd How are we ever meant to realize it will ever happen when Obama is trying to put a now bigger ban on media.
