Great doc but this documentary completely ignored oil and the oil pipe lines, completely ignored the invasion of Afghanistan…hmm , there is alot of perception reframing in this doc.. just sayin'
clever, that paints the US UK NATO leaders and western public as much more hapless and easily baffled, even gormless, that other narratives with evidence (see wikileaks) have pointed out, particularly on the creation of jihadi terrorists and Al Qaeda. what happened to the mujahideen? where did ISIS come from?
Some interesting interpretations of facts and events. Overall i found this to be pushing some sort of agenda and miss information on to me. interesting.
The Muslims brought down the twin towers. The turmoil in the Middle East was the fault of Syria, & the C.I.A.'s rôle is never mentioned. Etc. Etc. This documentary has some interesting information in it, but it is, on the whole, another example of hypernormalisation.
Oh, yeah, & the Americans did all they did, & are still doing, in Iraq, Libya, & Syria, etc., because they wanted to bring democracy to the Middle East! Does Adam Curtis believe in the tooth fairy, by any chance? Why would they want to do that, when they are doing everything they can to subvert democracy in America? Funny he never mentions oil in the whole 2 hours, 40 minutes, & 30 seconds. Or anything about Gaddafi wanting to replace the dollar with gold. Or the fact that neither Afghanistan nor Iraq had anything to do with even the official version of 9/11. No mention of Israel, either? And Putin is backing Trump because he says he is colourful. And he, (Putin), has such a high approval rating among Russians because they have all been tricked by one man's manipulations, & not because Putin has brought the country out of economic ruin, & doesn't want to sell off Russia's resources, at knock-down prices, to The Empire of Chaos. Hm-m-m-m. I'm not altogether convinced, other than the main point Curtis makes, that everybody in power is lying to us all the time. I don't think he really needed to take over 2 1/2 hours to make that point; most of us are aware of that already.
Can anyone explain what was the point of the segment on Trump? It literally had nothing to do with the rest of the documentary content. Maybe Adam Curtis wanted to be the 1 millionth person to dig up dirt on Trump and somehow tie it in to his bloated documentaries.

Why dont you talk about the United Kingdom and its eternal alliance with the Jewish hierarchy? Why dont you affirm that the Jewish billionaires are behind most of the wars involving the British Empire? The U.S. and the U.K. are backed and sustained by Jewish interests.
