The aqueduct mentioned is 3 miles long. Just to put that in perspective, the Romans build many aqueducts that were at least 10 times longer. The longest – in Constantinople is ~250km long: 50 times longer than this Aztec aqueduct. The Aztecs are fascinating, but the narration here is a bit over the top.
I don’t understand why people put these tribes on a pedestal. They were blood thirsty animals that used other tribes or lower status people in their own tribe for human sacrifice. How did the king recognize what the priest was doing unless he too had the same ritual? They lived by killing and butchering people in brutal ways and in the end they were the ones who were murdered. They probably got what they deserved.
