Predictably, over at AOL-Huffington Post, they are celebrating the installation of governmentcare at gunpoint.
IRS: Pay your Obamacare “penalty” with your taxes or else.
“The president stood firmly for affordable health care, and the public has responded. Millions who were previously uninsured have reached for the safety net offered by our government. The president and his team deserve great credit,” Marielena Hincapié, the executive director of the National Immigration Law Center, wrote last week.
Offered? Didn’t she mean coerced, ultimately at gunpoint? If Obama and his team deserve credit, it is for creating the greatest federal bureaucracy since LBJ declared his phony war on poverty.
The racist Johnson later admitted what the overriding agenda of the “Great Society” was – making sure millions of economic victims voted for the Democrat Party.
“I’ll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years,” he boasted on Air Force One.
Obamacare is not so much about corralling millions of new voters. Democrats will leave that up to so-called Amnesty, a law that will create, if enacted, 17 million new potential voting-age citizens by 2036.
In addition to carving out a monopoly for large insurance corporations – what Hincapié and the libs call a loving government safety net – Obamacare will operate as a revenue generating scheme.
According to the CBO, the scam will scare up $771 billion in new government revenue between 2013 and 2022. Meanwhile, additional taxes are waiting in the wings.
“The Democrats knew that the American people would not approve of raising their taxes by hundreds to thousands of dollars each year, so they devised a way to hide it in a national socialized health program instead. They initially hid it as a penalty and not a tax so the people would not think of it as a tax,” writes Dave Jolly.
“Don’t forget to add all of the hidden taxes in Obamacare on medical equipment, income, etc. that could easily add up to over $2,000 in additional taxes for many Americans,” Jolly continues. “If it only affected 20% of Americans, that would still generate another $125.6 billion of tax revenue. These estimates are way on the conservative side and the real tax revenue generated by Obamacare will most likely be much higher.”
Obamacare, in addition to growing an already massively bloated federal government, will fleece the commoners in ways heretofore unrealized. Some of them, like Hincapié and her comrades, will be thankful.
Leave it up to government. Its imagination knows no bounds when it comes to grand larceny.
Normally students or the poor would be not enrolled into the system as students generally don’t need healthcare and many well to do Americans think the poor should pay ten times as much.
Basically what this has done is provide the insurance industry with a new revenue stream which subsequently leads to more revenue to the federal governemtn. in addition to just like hosptials who code away and profit. No one is going to get better health care unless your insurance covers it, and since most people rarely have adequate coverage their copays barely cover the few costs that qualify. The federal license or franchise of medical care is basically another means to entrap those who would normally not need medical services. Just like the cost of education, the basic original costs were transfered to administrative needs and primarily to the costs of ensuring pensions for those who benfit from the plans. Basically ponzi schemes, the unfortunate thing is the end of the line is always the taxpayers. What used to cost basically the taxes in your locality are now instrumental to not only municiapl bonds but charges offset against future taxes, with the government always the first to dip its hand into the returns. Is this going to fix healthcare and everyone get access to decent basic care. I don’t think so, but we will blame terrorists or illegal aliens or even the rising cost of fish. Whatver works to fit your idea of what you personally need.
In addition to being a new source of revenue, the ACA is a ploy for the government to divest itself of the health care obligations it freely & deliberately legislated itself into. This is what happens when Democrats run out of other people’s money to spend. Two other Obamacare items are that the ACA forces people to volunteer information to the government that would be extremely difficult for the government to get without a warrant. And finally, the ACA grants the government free & easy access to the most intimate economic & personal details of people’s lives. Other than these, it’s just great.
