This trailer is over the top. How about another one where the targets are Pokemon, and there's a scientist cutting off Pikachu's tail. Seriously, no one needs to see that.

No doubt it is a good movie. But it turned my stomach a little bit especially the part where they dissected a rat.

Rats. We are rats. We are the rats. We prey at night, we stalk at night. We are the rats. And I'm the giant rat that makes all of the rules. Let's see what kind of trouble we can get ourselves into.

Awww, the rats are so cute! I understand killing vermin due to disease and parasites, but seeing all the lil' rats getting killed made me sad.

um … statistically, you're EQUALLY as likely – and in some specific cases MORE likely – to catch a parasite or infection of sorts from a cat, a dog, a bird(& the fleas inhabiting them and no, I'm not talking about wild animals here, I'm talking about your pets) and/or even your/your neighbours child(ren) as you are to catch something from a rat.

i find this whole stereotype of rats being dirty, nasty creatures to be deeply saddening; they are just as entitled to life as any other animal but unfortunately they could not be treated any worse by us. they're not only extremely intelligent but also socially complex creatures; they even laugh just like you or I, they're affectionate & kind(I have seen firsthand on numerous occasions, a young rat bringing a snack to an elder and/or ill cagemate) they can be trained to do anything a dog can, too in half the time(as they required no obedience training) including "sniffing out" drugs and explosive devices or even doing tricks like "dancing"… search for "rats performing tricks" and prepare to be amazed =)

way back in the day, they were considered to be on the same level as cats and dogs: many families would leave food, milk and the like out for there; there was no such thing as extermination, they were fun to have around… this all changed soon after the plague, as it was noticed that folks who had rats living in their homes were coming down with the illness. fair enough, right? well, come to find out, the whole "rats cause plague" is actually a myth… it was fleas that carried/spread it, NOT rats, but since then humans have seen them in a different light.

if absolutely nothing else, they should have our respect for all the assistance they've given to mankind in advancing medicine to what it is today… the basis of said advancements are in the medical experiments which have been performed on them and as such, they have prevented SO much human suffering…. and yet we still see them as nothing more than a pest.

parents, please please PLEASE teach your children to be kind to animals so that perhaps one day the next generation will have more respect for life and therefore be more humane than we've been.
