In an astonishing bit of unexpected news, a senior State Department official has announced, “The war on terror is over.” This stems from the idea, reports the National Journal, that, “it is no longer the case, in other words, that every Islamist is seen as a potential accessory to terrorists.”

This is great news, isn’t it? If the “War on Terror” is over, then we can repeal and reverse all the ridiculous police state laws that were put in place to protect us from terrorism… right?
I mean, can we now fire the TSA? They were only put in place after the “terror” attacks on 9/11. If the war on terror is over, the TSA is no longer needed (even if you assume they were effective at all, which they weren’t).
Can we now repeal the Patriot Act which was passed out of an urgency to defend America from terrorists?
Will Obama nullify the NDAA that he recently signed, which uses the excuse of the “war on terror” to legalize secret arrests and the stripping of due process from all Americans?
Can we now deconstruct the DHS and fire Janet Napolitano who has become the (nauseating) face of “fear your neighbor” campaigns?

The police state is not about stopping terror, it’s about promoting it
And why? Because all these things mentioned above were never designed to stop terrorists. They were designed to imprison the American people and turn America into a police state dictatorship drowning in a culture of fear promoted by the state.

That’s why these police state laws will never be revoked. In fact, they will likely be expanded with yet more legislation, more nullification of the Bill of Rights, more secret arrests and more secret prisons endorsed by Obama (yeah, the guy who once ran on the platform of shutting down secret military prisons but turned out to be a total liar… is anyone surprised?).
That’s because the government IS the terrorist! That’s why all this surveillance and police state power that was enacted in response to the 9/11 attacks will be kept in place indefinitely! Because it’s really about waging a war on the American people, not a war with some fictitious, unseen enemy.

With all due respect, what you have said has been said countless times by many sincere whistle blowers, however what we are missing is the fact that there is a lethal virus so meticulously administered and with such stealth perfection into the so called ‘civilized nations’ of the world, that the overwhelming majority has succumbed to its ill effects. That virus is called ‘APATHY’- in which, as if in a coma, the dumbed-down senses mimick the behaviour of mind-controlled zombies, believing in mis-information for so long, without the will, desire or the inclination to investigate, we have allowed ourselves to be lead into jumping off the cliff, under the trance of the devilish music sweetly composed by the pied-piper.
When we don’t react as true human beings, to the well circulated images of children and the soldiers signing off on the warheads meant for the helpless children in Palestine, or to the images of relentless spraying of phosphorous and depleted uranium, mercilessly, on defenseless groups of people or to the graphic evidence of dead bodies being peed-upon by the valiant US soldiers, or to the savagery perpetrated against a sincere human being such as Rachel Corey bull-dozed over alive, to the remotely piloted drones, as if playing a video game in a video arcade, targeting innocent peoples, in the name of war on terror and on and on and on! What do you expect!. The world, starting from the US is about to harvest what it has sown by allowing itself in believing in the false doctrine so cleverly manipulted and perpetrated by the agents from hell.
Look around yourself Mike! anything that was once remotely human – loving thy neighbour, compassion for the needy or oppressed, caring for the elderly, innocent until proven guilty – traits which were once hallmarks of truly great religions such as Christianity and Islam – have all gone the wayside. Do you think that the masses which have been addicted for so long on booze, drugs, rock & roll, sex and violence, extravagant spending and the pursuit of everything temporal will suddenly wake up to the web spun for so long! The masses cannot see anything, even if they tried! The mindset has to change drastically, starting in the belief that we are only here on this planet for a very short while. As the saying goes: ‘what goes around, comes around’! What we sow, shall we reap! As my grand mother once said to me: ‘Look in your belly! You carry the same shit as anybody else> What makes you better is not because you think you are. Nay, it is how you are with others, and how you treat them’. It was a lesson I learnt when I was very young. Trust me Mike, my heart bleeds when I see how we have accepted the attrocities committed by living/breathing people on other living/breathing and in some cases dieing people.
