‘Obama channeling Bush fever in Iran’

An American professor of politics says US President Barack Obama is following in the footsteps of his predecessor George W. Bush in fabricating pretexts for military strike on Iran.

‘Obama channeling Bush fever in Iran’

“Despite ample evidence of the devastating effects of the gratuitous invasion of Iraq that began a decade ago, the president and his buddies are now drumbeating for an attack on Iran,” wrote Falguni A. Sheth, a professor at Hampshire College, in a column on salon.com

“In essence, the increasingly menacing public posture of US officials toward Iran — coming in the same month as the 10-year anniversary of the jingoistic, imperially smug, and devastatingly destructive invasion of Iraq — cannot but remind us of the spurious calls for war made back in 2002,” she said.

She noted that no weapons of mass destruction (WMDs), the pretext used for the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, have been unearthed in Iraq.

Sheth underscored “the extensive documentation of Iran’s lack of destructive nuclear capabilities” and “its explicit disinterest in producing WMD.”

She praised the Islamic Republic for its “goodwill in cooperating with the conditions of the Nuclear Proliferation Treaty (NPT).”

“The same cannot be said of Israel, which not only has refused to join the NPT, but is considered the fifth-largest nuclear power in the world,” noted the professor.

Sheth stated that Hollywood’s Oscar-winning Argo was part of the campaign running up to a confrontation with Iran.

The United States, the Israeli regime and some of their allies have repeatedly accused Iran of pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program.

Iran has categorically rejected the allegation, arguing that as a committed signatory to the NPT and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it is entitled to acquire and develop nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

In addition, the IAEA has conducted numerous inspections of Iran’s nuclear facilities but has never found any evidence showing that the Iranian nuclear energy program has been diverted toward non-civilian objectives.

Under the Bush administration, the military industrial complex & the housing drove the U.S. economy. Now that the U.S. has been kicked out of Iraq and has been asked to get out of Afghanistan, the military industrial complex needs a war or military conflict PDQ to maintain its funding stream. Notice that Obama is encouraging the banks to take on more risky real estate loans, which caused the housing bubble, because unemployment is rising, the economy is stalling, and food stamps participants are at record high levels just to mention a few. Without another military conflict or housing boom, Obama will be forced to develop America’s oil & natural gas reserves just to keep the lights on in the White House which he is loathed to do.

Gulf Of Tonkin? WMDs? Oklahoma City? 9/11? Are we going to buy the lies once more?

Obama is a war criminal just like all the rest of the American government.

It’s about time that the accusations and intentions of be published. George W. Bush said and was determined that Iran not have a nuclear weapons capability even though that , in and of itself, was not a violation of the NPT or any other treaty or agreement. Iran is fully entitled to develop a complete nuclear fuel cycle under the terms of the NPT making it perfectly legal for them to do so. As usual, the U.S. is trying to move the goal posts again as it tries to enforce provisions beyond those contained in the NPT. Most Americans are uninformed or misinformed and do not realize that Iran was extremely helpful to the U.S. by facilitating the invasion of Afghanistan. Iran made another gesture to help the U.S. with the invasion of Iraq but Bush slapped them in the face, kicked them to the curb and signalled that the Iranians were next.

Precisely, and it is a fact that the Elite cannot control Iran. The same reason they attacked Libya because they wanted control of the money. Same reason they attacked Japan. (Yes they did. Explain the Stuxnet virus found in reactor #3 computing console system.)
When the Elite do not get what they want they attack in any way they can. 9/11 is a perfect example.
The only way this world will free itself is by removing the Elite. Set a limit on wealth and power. The Elite operate without any checks and balances. Why else has the FED never been audited?
