I have great admiration and respect for DeNiro, but don't tell people stuff like you're not anti-vaccine, you're pro safe vaccines, suggesting that unsafe vaccines are a thing. Even if he were right and there were a causal link between vaccines and some health complications in some children, which there isn't, it wouldn't make sense. Any potential benefit in terms of safety when you don't vaccinate your kid is canceled out by the severity of the diseases you put your kid at risk of contracting that way. A word of advice, if your doctor tells you to do something, don't be a smart-ass idiot. Just do it.
I used to believe 100% in vaccinations and label those who didn't as fools and conspiracy theorists. How can you question something that has just proven to work for centuries?
And then it came time to vaccinate my own children. I started digging a little deeper than what wikipedia or the 'official' reports say. I started listening to regular mums and dads who vaccinated their children only to have them damaged for life. So how is this possible? I felt betrayed as this contradicts the 'official' stance that gets repeated again and again i.e. 'there is no evidence to link vaccines with autism, etc, etc' Well then WHY ARE THESE CHILDREN GETTING SICK THE DAY AFTER VACCINATION? EXPLAIN THAT!
Like Robert said, its not straightforward. Have an open mind and see both sides. Question who really benefits from vaccines. How much do the big pharmaceutical companies gain? I used to think "Surely the W.H.O are beyond reproach as they are responsible for the health of the world?" Then I discovered WHO the people are that actually work at the "W.H.O". My personal take is this: Some vaccines work. Not all. Those that do are not 100% effective and definitely NOT 100% SAFE. There is a risk your child will have irreversible effects, even death. But nobody knows who will and who wont after a jab. The powers that be know this but will never admit to it cos they don't want to stop their gravy train. IF there is any doubt at all to the efficacy or safety of vaccines it will jeopardise the golden goose.
