Nato was created after WWII. British Prime MinisterChurchill planned to attack the USSR after Germany fell, using former Nazi Wehrmacht (military). It was in response to these threats that Russia created the Warsaw pact. IN the late 1980's/early 1990's, the USSR unilaterally disarmed and pulled its troops out of Eastern Europe, and so there was no 'Soviet Threat", and no need for NATO at all. The agreement not to expand NATO in exchange for German reunification has been egregiously violated. The Anti ballistic Missile treaty that the USA and USSR and Russia negotiated was UNILATERALLY ditched by George Bush. So who is threatening whom here? Is Russia putting thousands of troops on US borders, and placing missiles 5 minutes away from Washington? No, it is the USA surrounding Russian, just the way Hitler did leading up to WWII. And as if that is not enough, do your research and find out that Allen Dulles, the first head of the CIA, refused to help resistance to the Nazis, rather, helped shield Nazis from prosecution of war crimes (this was before the CIA was created)To put it bluntly, the US has for decades been carrying on the same agenda as the Nazis–threatening and destroying many countries, and now threatening to start WWIII against Russia. Don't believe it? Do the research: Operation Unthinkable. CIA Nazis, Allen Dulles helped Nazis, Antiballistic Missile treaty USA cancels, and so on.

if Russian intention was not to attack NATO, then why they are so worried about the Defense shield. the reason Russians are so pissed, is because they realized that they weapons are now useless. I think NATO has the right to defend their allies and Russia should back off.

why is it always Russia perceived as being the aggressive ones, when they are being totally surrounded by U.S, NATO and the west? Im not trying to say Putin and the Kremlin are never aggressive or anything, but the media makes such a big deal about things like the Russian planes that flew over the U.S ship, but If Im not mistaken that ship was in the Baltic sea, part of which borders on Russian territory, so who is really the one provoking the other in that situation? It's hard to say. But personally, I'd say the maneuvers were pretty provocative by both of them.
the anti Russian Geopolitical propaganda has really grown in the past year or so. Some would say even moreso than during the cold war. Whenever they really ramp up the propaganda, it usually results in some sort of attack to convince the general public to support a war/intervention.

But NATO not going to sit on it's hand while Russia,China,North Korea and Iran throwing threats at the U.S. None of those country know what we are capital of doing.
