Easiest way too fool people. That's the main reason people choose not to believe in Islam. They see it as God giving us rules to fallow and thus not giving us freedom. They all want freedom. But if I were to point a gun @ them They would do all they could to deney me my right to kill them. What happen to my freedom?
People say the greatest trick the Devil pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. I say it was convincing them that they were free. Not just from his influence. But from the boundaries set by Allah as well.
Islam is the most misunderstood religion. Whenever a non muslim reads the Quraan they always interpret it their own way and then present their findings through the media. When a person is sick we go to the doctors for expert advice. Why cant we do the same with Islaam? Go to the scholars as they are the experts. In doing so this can completely remove all confusion about this book

I suppose this is open to interpretation. Terror may be a metaphor for peace and smite could be interpreted as heal. There's no confusion on my part. It appears relatively unambiguous.

He is referring to those non-muslims who are at WAR with muslims. Therefore any non muslim persecuting a muslim will be subject to Allahs punishment, Therefore this verse does not apply to you. It does not apply to those non muslims living in peace! Hope that answers the question.
