when my two boys were small about 7 and 5 both of my boys were diagnosed with ADD, the school kept pushing the issue, so the doctor agreed, he gave them concerta, I thought it would help them what did I know, they were more educated than I was. Well my younger son started getting these tics and eye rolling constantly, the doctor refered me to a behaveralist doctor, who put him on wellbutrin , that made it worse he'd miss a lot of school because of it! I told the "doctor" it wasn't making him better, but much worse. the doctor says well lets try a stronger ADD medicine, I told him my child is not your guinnea pig, and found a neurologist in Boston children hospital, he told me the meds. gave him terrets , I cried so much, I allowed this, its also my fault! that doctor gave him a new medication and within a year it was gone! my older son got off at 16 because it just made him sleepy, now he is 20 and he has anger in him, he was always so sweet, till then. I'm sorry for going on and on. That's my story, how money is more important to most physicians than our children are! thanks for listening.
