There's so many non-christian sources of evidence for the existence of Jesus. But first off, admittedly, Josephus' texts prove the existence of Jesus. Although there are some edits to his works, it is an undeniable fact that a man with the name of "Christ" existed at the time. But anyway..
1) Cornelius Tacitus in 64AD.
"Nero fastened the guilt … on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of … Pontius Pilatus – Annals 15.44
= Clear reference to Jesus and his death
2) Julius Africanus quotes the historian Thallus (52AD) in a discussion of the darkness which followed the crucifixion of Christ (Extant Writings, 18).
"On the whole world there pressed a most fearful darkness; and the rocks were rent by an earthquake, and many places in Judea and other districts were thrown down. This darkness Thallus, in the third book of his 'History', calls, as appears to me without reason, an eclipse of the sun."
=This confirms the so called eclipse after the death of Jesus. Which not only proves he existed but also that he was executed and the darkness did indeed follow as written in the Gospel in (Luke 23:44-34).
3)The Babylonian Talmud (Sanhedrin 43a) confirms Jesus' crucifixion on the eve of Passover and the accusations against Christ of practicing sorcery and encouraging Jewish apostasy.
"On the eve of the Passover Yeshu was hanged (crucified)."
= Not only does this yet again prove Jesus existed and was executed but the Talmud goes on to prove the existence of Jesus' disciples.
4) Lucian of Samosta (2nd century historian) confirms christians were worshipping a "man" and that he was indeed crucified.
"The Christians, you know, worship a man to this day – the distinguished personage who introduced their novel rites, and was crucified on that account."
Having done my research, i feel i have two options. Trust the overwhelmingly strong evidence for the existence of jesus written by people near the time of his death and including some of the greatest historians who ever lived such as Cornelius Tacitus. OR trust a man who lived 600 years after the death of christ who had a very immoral love life and claimed jesus didnt die..
I know for sure that the quran is historically proven wrong
Lets not forget the fact that the quran explicity copies from the bible. We can prove this as there are many similar events that muhammad copies from revelations such as the coming of the anti-christ. But also MORE IMPORTANTLY the parts that the quran copies "incorrectly" thus it proves it is written by a man not a divine being.
