I just asked my 14 year old Grandson and he said it was independence from Spain. Then I asked him what year did it take place and gave him three choices and he could not tell me which year! He went to grade school in Calico Rock Arkansas.
I have a LOT of work to do. WTF?
So I asked his 13 year old sister and she said she did not know. So I asked about Thanksgiving and she said we celebrate the Pilgrims and he said they were from Spain.
Sadly they did not have a realistic family life with a father who constantly plays video games remains unemployed and a mother who researches illnesses for her next hypochondriac based illness and never held a job for more than 3 months.
unfortunately there are more kids with parents and school systems as such, than there aren’t….you think you have a lot of work to do? ha, wait until these children who DONT have anyone like an awesome grandfather to teach them better grow up and become our future…your work will seem miniscule compared to what actually needs to be done.
