You know, this Corporation that is the United States Federal Government has become increasingly despotic over the course of my baby boomer lifetime. My father did not trust this so-called "government', and neither did my immigrant Italian grandfather. In fact, during my studies of American History, the founding fathers of this country did not trust it either. They put a clause in our Declaration of Independence from the King of England's despotic rule that if and when this federal government became despotic, it was the right and the duty of the American people to either throw that government off, or replace it. We, as Americans, have been unsuccessful in throwing off this despotic government, which seems to like to rule by Executive Order, and equally as unsuccessful in replacing it with our right to vote. This is the reality of our situation, So what do we, as a governed people of these despots do? We need some representation, which we haven't had for at least a century. We need some sort of Office – like an Ombudsman, Fiduciary, or Trustee – to represent us and protect our interests from this predatory government. Some office that does not receive its paycheck or any type of benefit or perks from the federal government, but receives its funding directly from the people. So I'm going to call on all the activists and watchdog groups out there to think about how we can form this office and give it legitimacy and standing to represent the best interest of us and our country. Any ideas out there?
