The “church” that everyone loves to hate, Westboro Baptist, has made headlines again. It seems that members misspelled the word “illiterate” on a sign accusing Americans of being, well, illiterate.
The repugnant organization is best known for protesting at the funerals of soldiers, celebrating the death as God’s punishment. They bear signs like “God Hates Your Prayers” and “Pray for More Dead Soldiers”. Recently they praised the mass shooting at the Sikh Temple in Wisconsin as the “beautiful work of an angry God.”
Westboro Baptist doesn’t need the media to make them look stupid – they accomplish that all by themselves.
