Mysterious sounds have been heard booming from the sky all around the world – in some cases they were so loud they set off car alarms.

The unsettling noises were heard recently from Europe to Canada, sounding like groans and powerful horns.

In Germany noises coming from the sky were recorded on a video camera and uploaded to YouTube, with car alarms clearly heard going off in the background.

The internet has been buzzing with theories about what the sounds could be, with suggestions such as Jesus returning and the world ending put forward.

But experts have said that there are rational explanations.

University of Saskatchewan physics professor Jean-Pierre St. Maurice told CTV that it’s electromagnetic noise emitted from auroras and radiation belts.

Shedding light on the matter: Could auroras be responsible for the strange noises being heard far and wide?

Geoscientist David Deming from the University of Oklahoma, meanwhile, has previously written about a phenomenon called The Hum – ‘a mysterious and untraceable sound that is heard in certain locations around the world by two to ten per cent of the population’.

Writing in the Journal of Scientific Exploration, he said that sources of The Hum could include telephone transmissions and ‘aircraft operated by the U.S Navy for the purpose of submarine communications’.

According to Nasa, the Earth has ‘natural radio emissions’.

The Agency said: ‘If humans had radio antennas instead of ears, we would hear a remarkable symphony of strange noises coming from our own planet. Scientists call them “tweeks,” “whistlers” and “sferics.”

‘They sound like background music from a flamboyant science fiction film, but this is not science fiction. Earth’s natural radio emissions are real and, although we’re mostly unaware of them, they are around us all the time.’

For instance lightning can produce eerie-sounding radio emissions, Nasa added.

Earthquakes can also produce sub-audible sounds, according to seismologist Brian W Stump from the Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

Its is electro magnetic noise i first heard it coming from the largest army base in the UK, it lasted a long time , ive never seen the aurua borialis (northern lights) this far south, it also must be a coincidence the electromagnetic warefare(silent warfare) has been used and still is used against civilian populations.

This is called “poisoning the waters.” The best way to cover up these events is to bury the real accounts with bogus ones. They add more hoax vids to youtube until the real accounts are deemed invalid. In fact, a hundred started showing up within 24 hours of the initial accounts. The odds are just not there that every single account is a hoax…out of the hundreds now being debunked…at least a few are real. I found a statistical website that shows each vid and whether it’s a hoax. The trend of postings is unbelievably staged to throw people off. Never in the history of youtube has this occurred in such concerted effort.

Well, that’s really smart of this egg head physicist….if there be such a “natural” explanation, then why hasn’t it been noted far and wide every time there has been an auroral display? He claims that they are not sound waves but electromagnetic waves. Well, if that were the case, then why don’t we pick up constant humming from the a.c. power lines over head and inside the house? The human ear is not designed to pick up electromagnetic vibrations…..an electromagnetic wave is, as Maxwell derived back in the 1860s, an electric field that varies sinusoidally in both space and time which causes a likewise described magnetic field—-a rapid change in one always causes the other. That is how such waves propagate through empty space—by “leapfrogging” like that at the speed of light. Sound waves are longitudinally compressional waves in a material medium such as air and they can’t propagate across empty space the way e.m. waves do.
Merely because a sound wave and an e.m. wave have the same frequency does not mean you could hear both of them.

Frankly…I have no idea what is causing these sounds but sounds they are and not electromagnetic waves and I don’t give a damn what this St. Maurice says until he goes out there with an appropriately designed r.f. meter during one of these episodes and it registers a reading of so many volts/meter field intensity ….OR….someone uses a decibel sound meter that shows a reading and then we will know he was wrong.

I am going to strip the sound track off of one of these videos, do an audiospectrum analysis on it and will post on the tube anything I find that might be of interest.

I think the cause is probably due to the rocks being stretched. This is due to The Wobble of The Earth creating centrifugal force which heave The Earth’s innards upwards. Increasing the surface area, obliging the lithosphere(upper crust) to STRETCH. Vic.

the earth atmosphere is shrinking, in the past it had been historically recorded that earth will be at its densest within this current time.

CORRECTION TO THE BELOW POST: most if any of the Elite will not survive!

HAARP, THE ILLUMINI, FREEMASONS, Anti Christ, and the fact the planet is getting ready to cleanse it’s self as it has done every 26000+ years. (stick your head in the sand laugh if you want, but your ass is going to get burned) The sooner the inhabitants of the planet get out of their SHEEPLE stupor and realise we are on the count down to the most horrific blood bath the world has ever seen, and the RF waves are nothing in comparison to what you are going to experience over the next year and forward, the sooner you can prepare to to save yourselves, but to put it bluntly unless you are one of the Government Elite, your chances of survival are slim. Even most if any of the Elite will survive. All the money in the world won’t buy your safety, and you can dig a tunnel a mile deep to hide in, and even that is just a grave. All of you who voted for Obama just help to escalate the coming war of all wars. If I am wrong, which I PRAY TO GOD I am, and a year from now if I am still occupying my beach house in the winter and my Park Ave Apt. in the summer with plenty of food, water, gas, and other necessities, and the inhabitants of the world are also safe and sound with the necessities they need. I will give all THE GLORY TO GOD, BECAUSE ONLY HE CAN STOP THIS ABOMINATION!

Anywhere there is magnetism which is just about everywhere there are electric fields producing RF waves among others, these have always been there BUT to turn around & stat that every noise can be innocently explained is bloody ridiculous, let alone the many many other abnormalities that have been occuring in our whole Solar System, there is or are things out of the norm being reported fby professionals from all over the world especially from places that are NOT dependant on Gov money to keep going with tow the line mentalities.
Whether this is due to one thing disturbing many facets of science or it being a domino effect I have no idea however I do know that people can’t be lied to or things kept quiet forever, the answers will come eventually, it’s just that it would be good to know our Govs think enough of us to allow ourselves the opportunity to at least save ourselves if we so wish but I don’t think that’s very likely to happen. What better way to curb Earths population than by natural events by just forgetting (on purpose) to warn anyone, I would no longer put anything past the vial greedy people who now seem to be running this world, nothing !

Unfortunately I fell for the strange sound in the skies hype when it first came out in Jan, The phenomenon has since been debunked as a hoax, as many of these video’s feature the exact same background sounds (birds chirping, roof-nailer, sea-gull cry). One video from Edmonton was so blatent in it’s forgery, that all traffic noise from the street below suddenly disappeared (how miraculous!) when the sky noises showed up. Not that I disagree with the University professors who know a lot more about physics than I do, but this may be a case of creating more 2012 Doomsday hysteria. This article is a day late and a dollar shy when it comes to credibility.

The noises aren’t fake. I heard them with my own ears, or I wouldn’t believe it either.. My family and I were sitting inside and one says “What is that noise??! It sounds like the alien noise in the movie War of the Worlds.” I listen and I hear it too. We look outside wondering if the world is ending, because it sounds like a loud trumpet coming from everywhere at once. I don’t know what the sound is, but it’s real. It sounds exactly like what you hear in the youtube videos. How could the people on youtube know to post the exact same sound that I heard? And be exactly as confused about what is making the sound as I am? Did they read my mind? No. They heard it too. It’s not a hoax. Thank God I heard it with my own ears.

Nothing to worry about. These noises are easily explained. What about the millions of dead fish, dolphins and seals washing up on beaches everywhere? are those easily explained? What about the whole flocks of birds falling from the sky? easily explained ?
To correct these learned scientists, I think there is a change in the earth’s magnetic fields which may be causing these noises. If these noises were normal , mankind would have heard them for centuries. Something is causing these noises and they are being reported everywhere, not just near the North and South Poles.

    • Tory March 8, 2012 at 1:43 pm - Reply

I totally agree Chaos. It has been scientifically proven that magnetic true north is no longer at the North Pole. It has been shifting, at an increasing rate, and is more along the lines of the Asian continent (specifically Russia). I saw a MSM news segment yesterday that was trying to explain why this years’ “winter” in the Northern Hemisphere of the U.S. is so warm; the warmest in decades. Predictably, they blamed it on carbon emissions and global warming. Yeah, ’cause the people who have been freezing in Europe this winter don’t drive cars or have factories! It made me laugh out loud. Seriously though, these strange sounds, wacky weather phenomena, and mysterious mass animal deaths are all warnings that something very significant is happening to our planet. Could this be a gradual magnetic pole reversal leading up to a sudden magnetic pole shift, accelerated by some outside cosmic force? I believe rational people explore all possibilities, no matter how fantastic they may be, before accepting placated explanations.
