Black Friday: the day Americans apparently feel the need to do all their Christmas shopping in one day – and in person. Sadly, Black Friday has become somewhat synonymous with atrocious violent behavior in America, and this Black Friday was certainly no exception.
In one of the more severe examples, a woman reportedly used a stun gun on a fellow shopper at the Franklin Mills Mall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at about 2:30 AM.
Bystanders reported that the fight began when two couples were arguing with each other. Things escalated when the two women began throwing punches at each other and an all-out brawl ensued. On the video, bystanders can be heard yelling, “No, stop” shortly before one woman reaches for what is believed to be a taser.
It’s unclear why the couple began fighting in the first place, but the mall security was able to quickly break things up and escort the women outside of the mall.
This incident was far from the only violent event that occurred on Friday. A police officer was attacked in Southern California, a man was stabbed in a parking lot in Virginia, and some shoppers were pepper-sprayed by security when the fighting got out of hand.
