What i find really funny that you think we lost. Because russia is not conquerable. it would have been when theyre would not be a person called adolf hilter. He made so many mistakes and never listened to his generals. And thats why Germany basicly lost the war. I would have made it a war of resources and caputre the soviet oilfields. And then lets see how the t34 would have run without gasoline.
So it has nothing to do with the bravori of the russian soldier. When you have 3 month time bevor the germans start theyre offensive at kursk of course you have also time to dick in trenches weight and big enough that not even tanks can pass them. So what has this do to with the ordenary russian soldier? they just had better commanders. Also Stalin left the tactic to his gernerals. Hilter didnt do it and we can see what happend.
Russia is impossible to conquer. You have to do it before the winter kicks in wich would be impossible to do??It's too bloody big for one thing. And Hitler taking full control of tatics while smashed off his tits didn't help them poor bastards freezing to death and living in appalling conditions in the middle of a winter offence lost Germany the eastern war. He had incredible generals around him and still ballsed up stalingrad due to his stupidity(Hitler)He had Russia in his hand at one point!!But FUCKED it all up!!if only he would of let his generals take charge?could of been a different situation all together??
love Russia, hate Russia but the statement Russia can not be conquered is a true one unless you can accomplish it in 8 months or less. The Russian people are arguably the toughest people on earth who have survived things that would break down the average man in a very short time. I respect that but makes me question why you didn't use this toughness to stop Stalin and all the innocent Russians he sent to the Gulags.
The very first thing this documentary does is to misread a quote changing it's meaning. That pretty much discredits it before it even gets going. If you can't accurately read a quote placed right up on the screen, what else is screwed up we can't see?
" it was Italy….yeah Italy. That's it! That's why we fled Russia." Some stupid fascists don't take long from defeat to thinking they won the fucking war.
The world continues on divided by nations, patriotism, racism and all sorts of things that were present in WWII. Can the world not see we did not learn from our mistakes then? Why are we not making great change and getting rid of what divides us?
24:30 HOLY FUCKING SHIT! I knew the T-34 was a boss tank during WWII, but getting hit 23 times by heavy artillery is just fucking nuts!!! lol! What comes to mind when hearing that story is almost a complete embodiment of the Soviet Union/Russian gov't ideology & behavior. I can just imagine a T-34 factory supervisor saying: "We are going to be building tanks that are stronger, pound for pound, than anything the Germans can come up rfffffwith to combat it. Now figure out how much you need of a certain part to build it & only use 90% to drop cost." Consequently nearly everything made for the war effort was tough, and strong as an ox, but reliability suffered. Like how in the FUCK do you get shot with antitank artillery 23X only to be sidelined by a round stuck in the barrel?
From a Wehrmacht perspective: had the attack been launched soon after the Kursk 'Bulge' presented itself as an offensive opportunity (before the Red Army had chance to even partially complete the 'strength in depth' defensive 'belts' that were eventually to confront Model, Hoth and Kempf), and as Manstein originally envisaged, the outcome would've, in all likely-hood, have been very different, perhaps even altering the War's actual outcome.
The battles on the Eastern Front dwarf by miles the types of battles fought on the western front. This was a battle of ideologies where massive casualties, along with massive war crimes were the order of the day. And this on daily basis. For almost four years.
smart man , but he losed it with this one
hitler had the best army, but russian had more

a waste of the white race, on all sides.

Phyrric Victory. Russians lost 27 million people.
Russians need to work on their translation skills.
KILL WHITEY!
For crying out loud! The quote by Clausewitz is right there on the screen and the narrator still gets it wrong!
you cannot conquer russia and titanic cannot sink
Must say I would have liked to have subtitles instead of listening to that American. His pronunciation of names is atrocious.
Two translations at the same time can be confusing.
