It amazes me that we don’t get much news about what is going on in the Middle East. We get tidbits of information. We certainly don’t get a body count of how many of our men and women in uniform are killed in action. We don’t know many of our soldiers died in a Afghanistan this week, or in Iraq.
14 years of war in Afghanistan and the war drags on…. Oh wait, in 2014 the Afghan opium harvest was at an all time high…. no pun intended! Glad to see we’re winning the war on terror.
Guess we have no plans to vacate the premises, with that kind of profit being made!
Meanwhile let’s look at the map for an overview.
Notice where Iran is located then go to Syria, in the north and then look at Yemen in the south.
The Iranians are of the Shia branch of Islam and thus their proxy armies in Syria/Lebanon and now Yemen are beginning to encircle the region. The Saudi’s—who are of the Sunni branch of Islam—know this and are reacting to it, as Yemen is on their southern border. We can also add Turkey, Egypt, and other countries who are of the Sunni branch who are joining the fray.
Over 300,000 people have been killed in the ongoing civil war in Syria and yet, Assad still clings to the reigns of power. The ongoing torture and killing of Christians, for the most part is not reported.
Iraq is splintered and is fighting against ISIL, which still holds a good portion go the country in its grip. Again, churches are burned and genocide is ongoing.
Iran chants Death to America and Kill the Jews, yet our president is negotiating with them, while distancing himself from Israel and specifically Bibi Netanyahu. Now he has revealed what were classified documents about Israel’s nuclear capabilities. Whose side is he on anyway?
In short, the entire region is now embroiled in a war either between the two branches of Islam, Shia and Sunni, or ISIL who want to impose their brand of Islam on everyone else.
The hatred between these two groups—both of which claim to be the true Islam—knows no bounds. Suicide bombers routinely blow each other up killing as many “apostates” as possible.
Of course Israel is called an Apartheid state when they construct a wall to keep the suicide bombers out of their country…. double standard anyone?
Take another look at the first map and notice the two water ways in the region. The Iranians have threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz if attacked and now, in Yemen, the second strait—the Gate of Tears—is threatened by the Houthi’s, who are Shia and essentially Iran’s proxy.
About 40% of the world’s oil passes through these two narrow straits. The Iranians know exactly what they are doing and in some ways its brilliant. It would appear that our administration is going to give Iran a pass on their nuclear ambitions and do any of us really believe the Iranians won’t use the bomb once they get it? Where will they use it? On Israel and right here in the USA, as they will most likely create an EMP and detonate over the heartland and send us back into the stone age.
In closing todays post. I would remind us that one of the signs we are to look for concerning the return of the King, is wars and rumors of wars. Jesus warned us of what we would see in the days leading up to his return.
I thought this article was utter Zionist propaganda (which it is) until the end where the writer has the audacity to invoke the name of Jesus. The writer seems oblivious to the fact that both CIA and Mossad have reported that Iran has no plans for a nuclear bomb, while ignoring the fact that Israel has plenty of nuclear weapons and has threatened, obliquely, to use them. Just how Iran, which has no strategic bombers nor missiles, could initiate an EMP attack on the USA, this writer conveniently avoids addressing.
This whole essay is a mindless diatribe against America’s on-going villain, Iran. The real evil-doers are Uncle Sam and his regional proxies, Saudi Arabia and Israel.
