“Do not shoot me, please don’t shoot me!”

Video footage appears to show a police officer breaking into a home in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana before arresting a man for no reason as he exclaims, “you answer to me!”

“You Answer to Me!” Cop Breaks Into Home, Arrests Man

The clip begins with the officer forcibly entering the house, apparently without a warrant, before telling 26-year-old Donrell Breaux he will be arrested.

Breaux reacts by saying, “You’re scaring me,” as he asks the cop why he is being arrested.

The officer then walks into the living room before telling Eric Banegas, the individual filming the incident, “Get out of here, I’m not talking to you,” to which the youth responds, “This is my house though”.

When Breaux asks the officer his name, the cop responds, “I’m not answering you, you answer to me,” before tackling Breaux and attempting to handcuff him.

“You’re under arrest for resisting an officer,” states the cop

“Son, he’s trying to take me to jail for what?….I am scared son, I am scared,” states Breaux.

“I’m asking you nicely, why are you doing this sir,” asks Breaux as the cop appears to reach for his gun.

“Do not shoot me, please don’t shoot me, what are you reaching for, please don’t shoot me sir,” states Breaux, adding, “I’m fucking scared right now, I’ll do whatever you ask me.”

Little is known about events that led up to the incident. The YouTube video has received just over 9,000 views since it was posted yesterday, but many thousands more have seen an alternate Facebook version.

“When asked why the deputy was at the home, Breaux said, “I think one of the neighbors called them because we was cussing and cutting up on the porch,” reports WDSU.

Breaux was arrested and charged with battery of a police officer, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.

A spokesperson for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office said the video was being studied and that the matter was under internal review. The police officer has not been named.
