You remember last November when a fired up domestic argument led to threats and a rapid 911 call, by George Zimmerman’s girlfriend? –
The accusations brought up then were that Zimmerman had threatened her the same way that his ex-wife said he threatened her as well.
Zimmerman’s girlfriend, 27-year-old Samantha Scheibe, later recanted these allegations, like many victims of abuse do. She would eventually say that police “intimidated” her into saying that George threatened to murder her.
This came as a surprise to many, as the local Florida law enforcement have not exactly been seen as “tough” on Zimmerman in the past. But victims of abuse recanting their allegations of abuse is nothing new at all.
Scheibe called 911 on her own, with no police influence. Her statements about Zimmerman to police was consistent with what she told the 911 operator. But now, a recently released video of Scheibe’s police interview shows that there was no intimidation, nor pressuring whatsoever. All of this demonstrates that Scheibe was likely bullied by George into recanting, just as so many victims of domestic abuse do.
