Video: Fox News Host Admits, On Air, That They Make Things Up

An off-handed comment, likely intended as a joke. That is what will be said about this clip (bottom) where Fox News host Bill Hemmer commented that without major news or talking points to discuss, they would just “make something up.” If this were an actual news channel, the comment would have been a slight joke meant to give a chuckle to their audience. But in this case, it is from an agency known to engage in deceitful, and dishonest tactics in order to push their political agenda.

However, in reality this is not a laughing matter. Over the years, there have been numerous reports of erroneous reporting, and even one former Fox News employee admitting that the news agency fabricated a large portion of their reporting. Internal emails confirm this, stating that they pick and choose elements with an intent to slant or distort the presentation. By doing so, Fox News can pick targets, and send their brainwashed masses against them, all while the mastermind behind these operations laughs all of the way to the bank.

They will on occasion, however, admit to the deception, safe in the knowledge that their audience is so deluded by them that they no longer recognize the deception. As a result, they feel confident in telling them the truth, knowing that it does not matter.

This is classic Stochastic Terrorism. As defined, stochastic terrorism is:

The use of mass communications or social media to incite individuals not directly tied to the source to carry out violent or terrorist acts that are statistically predictable but individually unpredictable.

This has already resulted in threats of violence and even attacks against the scapegoats Fox News has held up. This explains why groups supported by Fox News feel confident to do things such as call for eliminating democracy. One only needs to read the hateful, mis-informed commentary of Fox News viewers to realize how well the lie has taken over.

Fox News’s parent company has already been accused of engaging in mafia-like tactics to reinforce their position. This enables them to continue to push their ideology along all aspects of their production, from the humble reporters to the top talent. In the end, none of their top talent has any control, they are slaves to their corporate, foreign masters. Of course some on the right-wing recognize this, and have revolted against the news agency with ever increasing numbers of their base rejecting it entirely. The irony of course being that their positions were shaped by Fox News, and now those positions are driving them away from it.

There is an old saying, be careful what you wish for. In Fox News’ case, they wished for a radicalized, ill-educated voting block in order to push the Republican Party, as was Richard Nixon and Roger Ailes dream of doing in the 1970′s. The problem is, they got it, and in so doing now they have sewn the seeds of their own destruction. To woo away southern democrats, they pandered to bigots and racists using tactics devised by Lee Atwater. In so doing, they are now driving away moderates and the conservatives are engaging in a full on civil war with the goal to destroy anything outside of their own definition of Conservative. Even the Republican leadership is scrambling as leaders embrace the fight for self-destruction.

While Mr. Hemmer’s comment seems insignificant enough, it reveals an ugly truth behind Fox News. Ultimately, Fox News is not news at all, but the media wing of the Republican Party, funded by the same private interest groups which fuel the party itself. Their audience is continuing to shrink among key demographics, while the company is facing serious legal problems. This is a recipe for disaster for the Republican Party.

Here is the video of Mr. Hemmer’s comments for yourself:
