I wonder if any professionals simply attempted to delve into Manson and try to discover WHY an intelligent and capable person has little regard for human life? I suspect there are many killers that the same investigation should take place, no? Who's job is it to get into the absolute details of how a person goes in this direction? Or is incarceration after the fact the only option? Were there circumstances in Manson's life that determined his low views on people and himself? Could/Can these circumstances be changed? Who is responsible?
