Coraline freaked me out when i saw it. few movies do that but i could see the mk ultra in this movie.
Project MONARCH. Coraline's mother is symbolic of a handler and there are the classic symbols of dissociation to escape trauma induced programming.

I've always been awake. Saw this film Christmas in 2010. The movie gave off an uncomfortable feel. I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. The only thing was I didn't know why this and Labyrinth didn't feel very victorious in the end. But now I know why I had these feelings.
Both Jareth and the black cat are males. They are the programmers. They both lead the female protagonist astray and back into harm's way and both create confusion for her. Watchful at both endings of the two films.

What I just find out after the 2. rewatch of the film is, that there is a hint how Coraline is beeing hacked in the illusionary world, by drinking green tee and eating chocolate.
Just think about it and watch out for those details.
