DDT: A Possible Alzheimer’s and Autism Connection

What in the world are they thinking considering the approval of DDT to be added to the genetically modified crop schedule? Before we consider that, however, let’s talk about the inventor/maker of DDT, Monsanto’s [1] other well-known products: saccharine, aspartame (NutraSweet®), Agent Orange, BST (bovine somatotrophin: bovine growth hormone for milk production or rBGH), PCBs, and Roundup®.

DDT A Possible Alzheimer’s and Autism Connection

After reading that list, what thoughts come to mind? If you are like most folks, you probably are thinking, toxic chemicals and maybe you would not be wrong. Here are some facts about each:

Saccharine, which previously was considered a potential health hazard, as of December 14, 2010, no longer is. Hmmm. I wonder why?

Aspartame is surrounded in controversy including that it’s considered the most dangerous thing added to many foods today.

Agent Orange was the chemical sprayed during the Vietnam War that damaged the health of U.S. troops along with contaminating Vietnamese citizens and their environment. See Agent Orange-attributed Vietnamese birth defect victims here.

BST and what it does that affects milk and its production.

Roundup®, the world’s number one selling herbicide with the chemical glyphosate has been attributed to causing pre- and post-natal toxicity in Wistar rat studies.

Currently, the U.S. USDA is considering granting approval for the organochlorine herbicide DDT to be used in 2,4-D (DDT)-resistant corn and soy, Dow Chemical’s new GM herbicide-resistant seeds.

Organochlorines include DDT, DDD, Chlordane, Aldrin, Dieldrin, Endrin, Heptachlor epoxide, PCBs, and Dioxin, which I discuss in detail in my 2009 book, Our Chemical Lives And The Hijacking of Our DNA, A Probe Into What’s Probably Making Us Sick, available on Amazon.com.

At present, there is a comment period [Docket #APHIS-2013-0042] open from January 10 to February 24, 2014 for the public to give opinions/comments to USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack as to why the Dow petition for approval of its GM seeds should or not be granted. Please consider this from the Pesticide Action Network (PAN):

Noted agricultural scientist Charles Benbrook projects that widespread planting of Dow’s Enlist corn alone could trigger as much as a 25-fold increase in use of 2,4-D, from an estimated 4.2 million pounds at present to over 100 million pounds by 2019.

The Pesticide Action Network has an online petition readers may want to check out and sign if so inclined to not want to eat non-labeled, DDT-resistant corn and soy in addition to the non-labeled glyphosate-resistant soy and bt-corn that already saturate food markets and processed foods. PAN’s online petition is here. I signed!

However, there is something that no one apparently is talking about with regard to DDT. That something seemingly is that there is an apparent connection between DDT and Alzheimer Disease! A recent study published in JAMA Neurology indicates that Alzheimer’s may be associated with probable environmental risk factors from exposure to a byproduct of the pesticide DDT. [2] Ironically, DDT had been banned in the USA since 1972, but now it’s up for approval to be sprayed on 2,4-D-resistant GM-food crops! What are they thinking?

Still, that presents another reason to grow and/or purchase certified organically-grown food. However, such certification may be considered dubious because of herbicide/pesticide aerial spray drift and chemtrail toxins overhead descending along with toxic rain. But, “organic” still is the way to go because it eliminates most of the toxic man-made chemicals used in industrial agriculture, conventional farming, and animal husbandry.

To recognize chemtrails, compare the difference between a legitimate airplane exhaust contrail and a deliberately sprayed chemtrail in the photo below.

In the Resources at the end of this article, there is a URL address for a portfolio of chemtrail photographs from which the above was taken. You will note that real contrails dissipate within seconds, whereas chemtrails spread out to make what I call ‘blanket clouds’.

Jason R. Richardson, PhD, co-authored several studies relating to Alzheimer Disease and pesticides levels that readers may want to check out here.

On the other hand, readers may want to consider something else associated with chemical exposure and pollution. Recently, science has been finding a dramatic connection between chemical toxicity and Autism Spectrum Disorders. See this, this, and this.

So, if autism is being associated with pollution (from chemicals) exposure, then shouldn’t government health agencies and professional medical societies be doing something about pressuring makers and purveyors of toxic chemicals and chemtrail sprayers to clean up their act? Can you imagine how many new jobs could be created if chemical companies were to implement reverse engineering to clean up the environment? Mr. President, there’s an idea for you.

However, as it stands because of USDA’s probable 2,4-D ruling-in-the-making, pregnant women will be exposed to more toxic chemicals via the food they eat—especially when it is GM-grown; from FDA-approved vaccines they are being prodded into taking while pregnant, which contain numerous toxins including neurotoxins, that can cross the placenta into the growing fetus and maybe even induce miscarriages, and has been documented in the CDC’s VAERS reports and the Gary Goldman, PhD, study here.

Before I end this, I’d like to remind readers that toxic chemical effects are increased multi-fold when they co-exist with other exacerbating features such as vaccine chemicals that are injected directly into a person’s body and, ultimately, the bloodstream. Some ingredients in vaccines are designed to transport man-made toxic chemicals across the blood brain barrier into the brain, which should not occur according to Nature. Combine those neurotoxic effects with toxins in the environment, food, water, and what are the results we can expect? Alzheimer’s and Autism Spectrum Disorder, among other problems. That’s not a difficult nor farfetched stretch to make since science now is saying that chemical pollution contributes to both neurological afflictions. Unequivocally, vaccines contain toxic chemicals.

Chapter 2 in my book Vaccination Voodoo, What YOU Don’t Know About Vaccines tells it like it is: Loads of chemicals! For the life of me, I cannot figure out why medical doctors can’t understand the pseudo-scientific hype they are willing to accept about vaccines, and then wonder why there is so much autism and other childhood health anomalies. I contend the medical profession contributes to that increase by swallowing hook, line, and sinker, the unimaginable quack science that toxic chemicals injected into pregnant mothers, newborns, infants, and toddlers cannot create brain anomalies, autoimmune disorders, and even death.

But then, brain anomalies are occurring at both ends of the age spectrum: infants and senior citizens. Unquestionably, demographics support that younger age health horrors are concomitant with and seemingly rise proportionately with the increased vaccine schedules mandated by the U.S. CDC/FDA. See the Miller and Goldman 2011 study “Infant mortality rates regressed against number of vaccine doses routinely given: Is there a biochemical or synergistic toxicity?”

What is it they aren’t getting, and why?

As an afterthought, I’d like to share with readers the review my book Vaccination Voodoo received January 30th from Natural News staff reporter, L.J. Devon.
