More than 20 tonnes of the fish is currently carpeting the beach of Kvaenes, in Nordreisa, with experts views differing on how they have come to be there. One thing is for sure, it will provide welcome ammunition to those believing the Mayan prophecy that 2012 will bring the end of Earth. Birds Flock crashed to the ground dead in the woods
At least twice within the last four to five years, Denmark has seen dead birds in flocks like the mysterious mass deaths in the U.S. New Year’s Eve.
Here tumbled at least 3,000 birds died while on the ground in the small town of Beebe in the state of Arkansas. Possibly because they are caused by fireworks have been frightened, and have searched into the lower altitudes, where they tumbled into the houses, trees and cars.

Japan hit by strong earthquake just hours after celebrating the New Year
A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7 hit eastern and northeastern Japan today, but there are no immediate reports of injuries or damage and no danger of a tsunami.
The quake, which measured 4 in central Tokyo, Fukushima and their surrounding areas, struck 217 miles below the sea surface at 2.28pm (5.27am GMT).
Such a deep jolt is less likely to cause damage than one close to the surface.
