There's so much wrong with Olympics and organized sports. I guess we should consider ourselves lucky it isn't colliseum level entertainment, but entertainment for the masses it is. Even on a basic level I think the timing of events like races or swimming relates to the way we are tested in school where "performance" is measured. The very heart of "in the box" programming is assigning rank or grading to "performance" within strict confines. I think you're right on the money in terms of the genetic modification trend because like computers it will all come down to making the person optimal given certain parameters. Very much the heart of the transhumanist movement and a far cry from my own childhood in the 80s.
These athletes are set up through funding which in itself will be stressful as well. A sponsor gives them money and they need to perform. Just another job really.
Competition itself is the heart of the slave culture we live in and is fundamentally wrong, in my view. None of this is "friendly competition" either; it's cut throat just like in the "real" world. Also a lot of ego being interjected and the hero worship mentality.

I still try to have fun with my work outs and "play" within scenarios i make up in my mind lending a creative aspect to the experience. It's depressing the way most people even exercise these days. Robotic and unimaginative, either following a set of rules they found or just doing the same motion over and over.

And we are to feel sorry for them? Really? Watch video/film footage from the Olympics in the 50s or 60s (or even 70s); the athletes were totally different. I think they started changing in the 80s: every year, the sport was kicked up a notch, got technically more difficult and demanding. You can especially see it in diving and gymnastics, but even tennis (to a lesser degree).
Since waking up I have experienced incomparable joy and a new found faith in humanity. The controllers want us to believe that man is fundementally bad and brianwash us into believing this lie with their vile entertainment and manufactured events. True, Most of my friends have stopped calling, but there is no point joining them in the dream. Waking them up is not easy or even possible because there investment is just too great. After about a year, my wife has woken up as has my eldest daughter and they now experience less stress. I consider truth research to be conspiracy therapy rather than theory. I do not believe there will be a mass awakening, but a few fish always manage to wiggle out of the net. I'm happy to be one.
All Olympians exercised hard to complete. The big difference with Gymnastics is the fact that Blacks came to the forefront and like with Williams Sisters, there is great antagonism against them that was never aimed at teams from the Soviet Block, 40-60 years ago.
