Overflowing Wadis: Heavy rain hits Shinas
Heavy rain fell in Shinas and surrounding areas which have lead to wadis overflowing.
In its weather bulletin, the Oman Meteorology Department predicted poor visibility during thundershowers and fog patches.
On Saturday heavy rain fell in Rustaq and Nakhal areas, leading overflow of wadis which caused traffic jams in the area.
Hate Crime: American charged with fatal shooting of Indian
A 51-year-old Kansas man has been charged with killing an Indian software engineer and wounding two other men when he opened fire in a bar in what federal authorities are investigating as a possible hate crime.
At least one bystander told the Kansas City Star newspaper the shooter shouted ‘get out of my country.’
Migrants safe: Italy says thousands rescued in four days
A total of around 2,750 migrants have been rescued from boats in the Mediterranean in just four days, according to the Italian coast guard.
This year’s arrivals have already far outpaced the record-setting 2016.
Italy’s Interior Ministry said on Thursday, that since the beginning of the year there have been more than 10,700 sea arrivals, which is a third higher than the same period last year
