Oh wow prayers for all that comes in contact with Matthew!! Strange times fo sho!!
I have my paragliding licence and that guy has a pro wing and is totally in control. He still had options to get down even in faster winds. You can pull individual risers (cords) to collapse just your wing tips reducing the airfoil which reduces lift and creates drag, that can give you a decent rate of over 10m/s in an emergency but yeh not something for a novices that's for sure!
I had a dream about what think is relevant to this hurricane. I don't consider myself a prophet by any means, just a guy that had a dream a week before any mention of this storm. It was simple and quick, dark sky's, chaos and when everything settled I saw a grave that said Matthew on it.. I get from this, many many lives lost… I prey this is far from fact and for those whom must go through this tribulation. GOD be with you all!

You have to admit it appears the storm is being steered for maximum destruction. If it fully circles back to the Miami area before departing into the Gulf of Mexico, it will appear very suspicious indeed. The two main computer models that the National Weather Service currently uses, GFS (Unisys) and BAMM predicts (as of 8 PM) just such a scenario.
Hurricane Matthew is suppose to hit on 10/7. Matthew 10:7 says, "Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near."
