People all over Florida are taking part in “Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment,” a campaign in which they wave signs on highway overpasses promoting Obama’s impeachment.
Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment is a grassroots organization that expands far beyond just Florida — volunteers have pulled for the effort form around the country. But it seems to have especially caught on in the Sunshine State.
As reported by Biz Pac Review, “At last count, the cities visited included Boca Raton, Ocala, Port St. Lucie, Naples, West Palm Beach, Orange City, Spring Hill, Kissimmee, Jacksonville and the Tampa/Clearwater/Sarasota area. Orlando had multiple events. Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment, with Facebook pages for chapters in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., gained national attention after a rally in Southern California snagged traffic in early June.”
The campaign does not align itself with any political party in particular — as such, it attracts folks from all walks of life and political affiliations.
Some people have complained about the rallies in Florida, which have led to a police presence at some of them. The complainers say that some of the signs have offensive language.
Still, their claims have not yet been proven.
Joe Kilinski, a Florida resident who regularly takes part in the overpass rallies, said, “I can no longer stand by and watch our freedoms taken away piece by piece. I have grandchildren and children and this country no longer presents them with a chance to get a good job or to be free to do or say what they want to without government interference. The government is interfering in everything we do but everything they do they lose money at or fail miserably. My children are welcome to go in debt to get a college degree but there is no job for them to pay back their loans. Our country needs a leader.”
The call for Obama’s impeachment is YEARS late but better late than never! He long ago met the criteria for impeachment. It’s unfortunate that Congress serves PARTISANSHIP more than the people and their Constitution! Congress is really partners in Obama’s crimes & misdemeanors for not taking action!
