I never liked what King stood for, especially Fate lyrics because I believe in God. The main reason I liked this band since 87' was the musicians he always had. Especially Dee, Denner and La Rocque.
There is not one aspects of King Diamond that is Black Metal. King Diamond is simply Traditional Heavy Metal but with horror themed lyrics. Incredibly unique extreme metal band.
Plus everyone talking about the pattern of 18 and 9 should also keep in mind the symbolism it means for the album. 18 will become 9, 18 being the age of Miriam, 9 meaning she will become 9 months pregnant. Especially interesting since 9 is also half the number of her age in years, implying her pregnancy is almost like she is being pulled in 2, like, ONE becomes TWO.
