I think this highlights the problem Germany had from the get go, sure they had the largest army, but they had to spread it so thinly, especially after they invaded Russia.
Although this game doesn't really recreate how dominant Germany were at the start of WW2, but if it did the game would be too unbalanced, because it would be too easy to recreate the good strategy Germany employed at the start of the War and avoid the poor strategy they employed after they had captured France.
Obviously some of the poor strategy employed by Germany isn't available in the game.,like having the first machine gun using it to successfully gain ground in the Soviet Union then deciding not to use it even though it success was clear for all but Hitler to see, and also the Russian climate doesn't play a part in the game in the way it did in the real war.
