After six months of headaches, convulsions and fainting, Wang Ming, a 60-year-old man from Shuangliu County near Chengdu, was told by doctors that he had a 15cm long worm in his brain.
After arriving at the First People’s Hospital in Shuangliu, doctors took three hours to remove the worm from his cranial cavity. After it was extracted and put in a water container, the worm even kept on swimming as if nothing had happened.
Doctors blamed the parasite on Wang snacking on uncooked frogs, eels and other seafood when he was young. Parasites present in such uncooked food can enter the human system upon being eaten, and thus can grow and fester.
Doctors stated that they had never seen such a large specimen before, and are currently studying the worm.
Mmmm excellent diet! China is so advanced isn’t it?
Sarcasm intended.
