Rare images capture jungle survival training that U.S Marines attend in Thailand as a part of a combined exercise.

Some 13,000 members of militaries from all across the world attend and do everything from eat random bugs, to drinking cobra blood, to biting the head off of a chicken in order to toughen up and learn how to survive in the wild.

The 11 day exercise called Cobra Gold 2014 takes place in Thailand’s Chon Buri province and covers amphibious assault, humanitarian relief, and extraction of friendly forces as well as the jungle survival.

After the exercise was over the Marines were invited to take part in some of the local traditions such as drinking snakes blood, and eating the tail of the cobra and as you would expect they happily engaged.
