The United States of America was created as an independent nation whose founding ideal was the principle of individual rights. Freedom. I have, for some time, struggled with the new reality: America void of her reason, existing without the reason for her existence, her morality. It did not seem possible. And yet what now seems impossible is that America ever was. As we revert back to the age of the primitive, the fact that America happened at all is nothing short of a miracle.
The United States of America was the rational man’s shining hour.
Rabbi Steven Pruzansky of Congregation Bnai Yeshurun in Teaneck, N.J., recently wrote an analysis of the 2012 presidential election that is the best thing I have read on Romney’s election loss and the broader question of the loss of America.
“It is a different world,” wrote Pruzansky, “and a different America. Obama is part of that different America, knows it, and knows how to tap into it. That is why he won.” What kind of different America? Pruzansky’s explanation is devastating: “Romney lost,” he writes, “because the conservative virtues – the traditional American virtues – of liberty, hard work, free enterprise, private initiative and aspirations to moral greatness – no longer inspire or animate a majority of the electorate. The notion of the ‘Reagan Democrat’ is one cliché that should be permanently retired. Ronald Reagan himself could not win an election in today’s America. The simplest reason why Romney lost was because it is impossible to compete against free stuff.”
It is impossible to compete against “free stuff.” As Pruzansky explains: “The adults among the 47,000,000 on food stamps clearly recognized for whom they should vote, and so they did, by the tens of millions; those who – courtesy of Obama – receive two full years of unemployment benefits (which, of course, both disincentivizes looking for work and also motivates people to work off the books while collecting their windfall) surely know for whom to vote; so too those who anticipate ‘free’ health care, who expect the government to pay their mortgages, who look for the government to give them jobs. The lure of free stuff is irresistible.”
And given Obama’s relentless hostility to Israel, Pruzansky says, “this election should be a wake-up call to Jews. There is no permanent empire, nor is there is an enduring haven for Jews anywhere in the exile. The American empire began to decline in 2007, and the deterioration has been exacerbated in the last five years. This election only hastens that decline. Society is permeated with sloth, greed, envy and materialistic excess. It has lost its moorings and its moral foundations. The takers outnumber the givers, and that will only increase in years to come.” His conclusion for American Jews is stark: “We have about a decade, perhaps 15 years, to leave with dignity and without stress.”
What was once unthinkable is now not just thinkable, but entirely possible. When I was a child, I remember sitting in the backseat of the family car listening in on my parents’ conversation. I am not sure what led to the following exchange, but I never forgot it. My father said, “Nothing is forever.” And my mother said, “Nothing?” He repeated: “Nothing.” And my mother thought for a moment and asked, “Not even America?” He said, “Not even America.”
At that time the idea that America could fall was inconceivable to her (and to me). America – freedom – was forever.
But that is not so. And scarier still is the tenuous status of Jews in America. It’s hard not to draw parallels to persecuted Jews in once-friendly nations and their subsequent persecution, expulsion and slaughter. To think that Poland was once the Israel of Europe. Millions of Jews made Poland their home and had a long history there of over a thousand years. And in three short years … complete annihilation.
German Jews, meanwhile, were so very vested in the motherland they considered themselves Germans before Jews. They were war heroes for Germany in World War I.
How long do Jews have in Obama’s America? How long before we can’t walk down the street with a kippah or a Star of David? This is already reality for Belgium Jews, Swedish Jews and French Jews. Large portions of Norway are already Judenrein.
Proud Jews at Berkeley or the University of California Irvine can give you a glimpse of how things can turn, quickly, in America as well. Now that America itself has turned, everything is up for grabs.

First it is important to recognize that the US Government is not the entity you have been led to believe it is. This is no longer your grandfathers America. The last 50 years of politicians have left office with the USA in worse condition than when they entered. In a system that was designed to improve the country the opposite has happened. The perfect example is the event of 9/11. It has already been exposed as a farce. Why was WTC-7, the third building, a 48 story complex that fell in 6.8 seconds in its own footprint not mentioned in the NIST report? A building that was not hit by a plane nor fuel and only had a diesel fuel fire on the 12th floor. Why did it fall and why was it not investigated or mentioned?
Why when asked did the head of the NIST state that no explosives were used in the demolition. yet in the same conversation when asked if testing was done for explosives state that no testing was done? How can the first statement be true when the second would have bee the only way to determine the first?
These are the facts nothing more. What can be easily determined was the government was complicit in the event. Why didn’t the empire state building fall when it was hit by a fully loaded B25 bomber in 1945? What it actually built better than the WTC? Really?
Why has no cement and steel structure ever fallen in history because of fire? Why was a picture showing a woman who worked on that floor hit by the plane and she was identified, showing no signs of burning or ever of soot on her clothing standing in the hole the plane entered? If the heat was so intense to melt steel it should have incinerated that woman on that floor instantly. Ever been near a kiln?

Actually I am not suggesting anything. Are you aware that the FBI building had many unexploded bombs within. A simple fact. Romeny lost for two reasons first because he didn’t know you can’t open a window on a passenger aircraft. Second he tied his dog Seamus to the top of his car and took him on vacation from Boston to Canada, “Dad what is that brown stuff on the window”. Carl I agree with what you have written concerning fracking, However the small companies who drill the holes are sub contractors to large corporations. The elite own those corporations. When you follow the money it always rises to the top. and disappears into offshore banks. Of course there is the recent money laundering event where apparently 25 thousand rounds of hollow point ammunition was purchased by the government from an address that just happened to be a Shell gas station.
Carl, your ideas are outstanding, but only in a perfect world. America today is clearly not a perfect world and the downtrend is getting worse. The decline of America started long before 2007, Remember when Nikita Khrushchev showed up at the United Nations in 1959 and banged his shoe on the table for attention. The decline of America had already begun even years before that and has continued to what we see today. Here are his words.
“Your children’s children will live under Communism. You Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept Communism outright, but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of Socialism until you will finally wake up and find that you already have Communism. We won’t have to fight you; WE’LL SO WEAKEN YOUR ECONOMY, until you fall like overrpe fruit into our hands.”

The Soviet leader was wrong! It was his political system that fell because it was not representative and couldn’t be flexible when needed. No, democracy may not be perfect but it is the best of all the political systems. Socialism is not Communism. Mixing those two up will not allow a free and relevant exchange of views to make sure that Communism is dead and buried. As far as North Korea is concerned it proves that Communism doesn’t work. China had to bring in capitalism in order to continue to exist. Cuba is on its way to freedom and would have been there by now except for the foolish US embargo. So called Socialism is simply a valued and necessary safety net for that part of the population that are unable to properly care for themselves. it is also a way of preventing crime and rebellion from those who are either desperate or envious or feeling betrayed by the capitalist system (witness the South American banana republics and their constant upheavals). No our system of Democracy and capitalism is the best and could become better with a good dose of Socialism to even out the rough spots.
When people who do not work vote a republic becomes a democracy and a democracy soon becomes a bread and circus tyranny then the nation collapses and enters it’s name on the registry of the extinct.
