Following the end of inconclusive negotiations in Geneva between the conflicting parties in Syria, news outlets have disclosed that the United States and its allies have increased their belligerent moves in Syria.
The US daily Washington Post wrote that the US and its Western-Arab allies have agreed over consistent ways to escalate arms dispatch and military aid to rebels and terrorists acting in Syria. The agreement has been concluded with the presence of intelligence officials of different countries.
Western sources have revealed that plans are underway within the framework of a concluded agreement to open more logistical routes in northern Syria via Turkish border.
The news of the said agreement by the anti-Syrian front has been released while many of the political circles believe that the continuation of crisis in the country has its roots in the moves of the US and some Western and Arab states.
The Canadian Global Research site, in an article titled “Israeli and Saudi priority is secret military and strategic operation in Syria”, reviews the unity between Saudi regime and the Zionist regime with the aim of annihilating Syria. The article continues, “The Obama administration has adopted the policy of carrot and stick to pressure the government of Damascus; but the Geneva 2 negotiations clearly showed the failure of Washington’s strategy against the Syrian government.” Elsewhere in the report we read that the US has decided to send new shipments of arms for terrorists in Syria.
The Global Research has also admitted that the Saudi regime has played a significant role with regard to material and political support for the Takfiri groups in Syria. No doubt, these supports of the Arab regimes of the region for the terrorists and Takfiris in Syria are one of the main reasons behind fomenting the fuel of war in Syria. According to the UN, these groups are engaged in spawning international terrorist cells.
However, the UN chief Ban Ki Moon has announced that the Syrian crisis has no alternative but a diplomatic solution and it is necessary to continue political talks concerning the Syrian crisis. He made it clear that despite the failure of the two rounds of talks in Geneva, he will continue his contacts with the UN envoy for Syrian affairs, Lakhdar Brahimi.
Ban Ki Moon has emphasized the continuation of negotiations while the advancement of the Syrian army in different regions of the country has topped the headlines of many news agencies. The Syrian people have recently held demonstrations to show their support for the military to fully obliterate terrorism and thwart the enemies’ plots.
During the demonstrations that were held in the neighborhoods of Damascus and the city of Tartus, the Syrian people announced that they will counter any individual or party seeking to tarnish their country’s dignity.
