The one weapon ATF hates the most is the shotgun, your best advantage against the machine gun. A Mossberg 835 or 935 is chambered for 12 gauge 3.5″ shells. 00 buckshot in this shell is 18 .30 caliber lead pellets, 2.5 ounces of shot fired at one time! No soldier with a M-4 wants to take that on. A 12 gauge 2.75″ shell holds 9 pellets so it would take a double barrel shotgun firing both barrels at once to equal one shot of the the 3.5″ shell.
