Luis Rodriguez and his family were in the parking lot of a movie house in Moore, Ok, when his wife and daughter started fighting. His wife slapped the daughter and Rodriguez got in between the two to stop the fight. Five cops rushed onto the scene asked him for his identification and then claimed that Rodriguez started fighting them and started beating Luis mercilessly as his wife recorded the beating. They continued beating him until he was dead.
Rodriguez’s daughter, Lunahi, said that the cops killed her father right before her eyes.
“When they flipped him over you could see all the blood on his face, it was, he was disfigured, you couldn’t recognize him.”
His wife, Nair, said that she knew then that her husband was dead as he lay motionless on the ground.
“I saw him. His [motionless] body when people carry it to the stretcher. I knew that he was dead.”
After the murder of her husband, Nair, told the police that she was the one doing the hitting and asked why they didn’t arrest her. She then asked them why they were doing this and the cops did not answer but did confiscate her camera.
Pressure is being brought to bear on Moore Police Chief Jerry Stillings to release the video, so far to no avail.
