Was This Officer Justified When He Fired Into a Minivan Full Of Kids?

It was a routine traffic stop in Taos, but turned serious after the driver decided to speed away. In response, one officer on the scene opened fire into a minivan full of children.

Was the shooting justified, or did this officer use deadly force when it was not necessary?

The Shooter was not justified because he did not know there were children in the vehicle AND no weapons were in the hands of the passengers.

N-words will be n-words. No respect for the law – 71 in a 55. This would all have been avoided if she had just taken her lumps and been done with it. Instead she provoked the obviously murderous cops, of which the one firing was an n-word himself. That being said, these pigs did nothing to stop the escalation in a safer manner. They could have just let her make her run and caught up with her eventually. Screw ups all around.

Absolutely no excuse for the conduct shown in this video. Even with an uncooperative driver, the incident could have been resolved with minimum force. Shooting at a van with kids in it attests to the deficiency of training of Officers in that jurisdiction. They are lucky they were all bad shots and missed hitting anyone. Someone should loose their job over this breakdown in judgement.
