There are many people in this world who have the ability to raise awareness about various causes and bits of information due to their celebrity status. While they don’t always come out and say what they know due to fear of it affecting their career, some go all out and make sure the world knows.
Yet another celebrity has spoken out against Monsanto and this time it’s Roseanne Barr. On June 3, 2014, Roseanne was a guest on the Howard Stern Show. It was during that show that she ended up calling Monsanto “Monsatan” as she feels they are not doing much good for the people nor the environment. She said this just after sharing her joy over the decision Hawaii made to ban GMOs from their state completely.
Roseanne is one of the most successful female comedians ever and was the star of one of the most successful sitcoms in television history, ‘Roseanne.‘ She is also known for raising a lot of awareness about MK Ultra in Hollywood which you can find out more about here.
Woody Harrelson is another popular name that has called our Monsanto. He is a health conscious individual who believes Monsanto is not producing healthy foods for people and feels people need to stick with local and organic foods. He calls out Monsanto in his piece “Thoughts From Within.”
